We use a professional VPS, and the bot attacks got so bad that retrolemmy was down multiple times a day for sometimes an hour or more. This script helped so much that we didn't have any bot related downtime since then; for almost 3 months now. Also the users notice no difference when the site is private, unless they are not logged in. And it goes back public after 5 minutes under the threshold.

The bot traffic has gotten so bad this year. Good luck with the server and bot traffic. I hope you find a solution.

I just can never stop. So much content still being made today. The game just doesn't get old.

Oh yeah, it's way better. Because this is actually an adventure game instead of a raunchy minigames collection. The wet dreams games have what you want in a Larry game, but aren't the best in the series.

I will never understand delisting games. Good thing owners can still play them.

We sued people. Well, I think. Since the people are unknown. They didn't show up, so we won. Now unknown people need to pay whatever we say they should pay.

Great job, let's pat ourselves on the back. We fought the man and won.

It's not about the type of game. The new standard should be about releasing a finished game. Not a buggy mess with day one patches.

With proton, this is less and less the case.

That sounds like a great way to get yourself killed.

Trump doing actual pedo and rape shit and being a convicted felon

Religious zealot chuds in the US: "there's no proof"

Really? How displaced is your view if you consider the USA easy mode?

Also, fuck Mexico. Apparently.

Still funny that valve still can't count past 2 even though this is the 5th installment

History tells us this always works.

Nintendo is on their way of becoming one of the worst companies of the year for the fans. Fucking hell...

I would block hexbear. I've done it server-wide. They are mostly very loud trolls pretending to be communists. Some could be actual communists, but I don't buy anyone actually wanting to be in such a toxic environment and believe what they claim to believe.

I never worry about motion blur, because I turn it off. The stupidest effect ever. If I walk around I don't see motion blur. Cameras see motion blur because of shutter speed, not the human eye.

Same reason people put movie characters, game characters or dragons in there. Because they like them, one way or the other.

This is Pablo Escobar played by Wagner Moura in the show "Narcos". The first season was great!

If anyone wants to hate this guy even more: listen to the Behind the Bastards episodes on this guy. It's a 6-parter, so you know it's going to be good.

After being in a band for over 12 years, we finally recorded and released a song.

If only we had some sort of technology to let us know that someone is at the door.

Ring the doorbell, or knock like a normal fucking person.
