It's so expensive to upgrade...

This has nothing to do with quality of enjoyment but access to it.

Requirements are not marketing. They are mechanical limitations specified by the developers. That's the difference between "Minimum" and "Recommended". We are talking about the minimum requirements here.

The last panel has a point though.

We have literally lost our connection to nature to the point we are actively destroying our ability to survive on this planet as a species for ephemeral, arbitrary gain for a few elite individuals and the majority of people see no problems with it.

The biggest mistake man ever made was to believe ourselves to be above nature, that it is something to which we were divinely given ownership over, to be used and discarded as we saw fit, instead of something we are intrinsically part of.

should've paid us enough to fucking live

Don't have the full article but there was fire suppression. Then the fire team showed up, evacuated the building, and, at the behest of the company, shut off the system to prevent further damage to the rest of the products as the fire team was handling the original fire.

Then the dude went around and started burning other pallets in different parts of the warehouse.

Waluigi here had a plan and executed it.

Should have paid them enough to live.

"Google CEO decisions"

The issue is they only care about short term profits. They don't care about the negative impacts because it doesn't actually affect them. They also fully believe they have a captive market in that people are so conditioned to it that they won't go searching for alternatives so long as their service, regardless of how shit it is, remains the most convenient and habitual.

And, if shit does hit the fan, they've already made off with a king's ransom and will just pivot their ventures after taking their golden parachute to leave some poor schmuck holding the bag.

Right? Like the worst thing they could say is that she.... Fixed the public bus system so it actually functions on time instead of being inconsistent? Like, I don't get how these people think that's such a bad thing.

Hundreds of Irish petrol stations run out of fuel as protests continue

Reply in thread

Did you read the article? The fuel stations are running out because of blockades by protests. They have fuel. Hell, they are nearly to the point of needing to turn away ships because they are nearing capacity.

The protests are because of fuel pricing being gouged and impacting the livelihoods of these people.

These actions have forced the government's hand at providing relief packages to people in need, especially those in key economic sectors such as food production, public transit, and emergency services.

The owning-class can go without making obscene profits off of an international crisis. That's all that the people are asking for.

Here we go again

It's not "billionaire class". It's owning class.

It ain't that they have a lot of money, it's how they came to acquire that money as an effect of the system of ownership we currently live under incentivising rampant exploitative practices as the most efficient methods of personal enrichment.

Billionaires are just the best at being exploitative; they aren't the only ones though.

Mistletoe is already on the list. Iirc, there isn't anything in lycanthropic lore about them being adversely affected by mistletoe.

So, with that in mind, it wouldn't be the mistletoe itself it is recoiling from, it's the implications.

FIND OUT BITCH

This is why I ask players what they want to do before calling for rolls after describing an area.

Once checks are called, all decided actions are locked in, then I narrate how the scene plays out based on the rolls. If a perception check is needed for traps, they have already confirmed what they are currently doing and can't meta game around the consequences of it from having rolled low beforehand.

If their actions are to search for traps, then they do so, but if they roll low, they are still considered to be actively searching and thus, I will narrate that they triggered the trap while searching due to the low rolls. This also has the bonus of letting people with good intelligence but low wisdom substitute Investigation in the place of Perception.

If it's in battle, perception is rolled for traps when stepping into the square of a trap. If passed, you spot it and are assumed to be actively avoiding triggering it (cause remember a square is a 5×5 foot area, not simply a single tile or something); if you failed, then well sucks to suck.

This way, players can't mind trap themselves into doing nothing because they are constantly paranoid about their low rolls.
