Nothing to see here
Israel became worse than Hamas. I'm not saying Hamas are the good guys, both sides have killed civilians.

Do you prefer to buy games on Steam or GOG?
Steam, I can install the Steam client without any problems on moat distros, also Valve has done a lot of things to make the Linux gaming better.
Gog doesn't have a desktop app for Linux, they're focused totally Windows so I don't care about it.
If I want "DRM free" games, then I pay for the original version with DRM and then pirate it to play whenever I want.

Why are you single?
My social skills are probably near null, I avoid interaction and just say just the bare minimum of words. And I get talkative then all I speak is about tech, science or history. Edit: And I'm actually fine as single.

Imagine voting for someone that wants to get rid of the department of education.
I know a few Argentinians and since I live in Chile I know a lot about what's going on there. They have a lot of useless ministers for almost everything, at this point the previous government could have easily added the 'ministry of non-important matters' Their state manages the education really bad, many Argentinians complain about that, all those things managed by the state work really bad and are fueled by taxes. I agree that Milei's ideas are crazy, but seeing the options in Argentina, he was the less bad option there.
Imagine a state sucking almost every currency from every citizen just to fuel useless state institutions. I hope Argentina will recover with this change.

Fellow Latin Americans/Africans/Asians/Oceanians, what is something that Americans and/or Europeans have/do that makes no sense to you?
Everytime US users call their country 'America' it sounds weird. America is a continent, not a country.

Florida Meteorologist: ‘I Have Never Observed So Many of Earth’s Vital Signs Blinking Red'
The world failed to take action against climate change, now they're going to be late to take action to the adaptation of civilization to a dangerous environment. Too late to stop climate change, it's time to think about adapting to a new environment.

subs > dubs
I can't stand dubs, I think that japanese VA are a lot better. Anyway, I have been reading subs since I was 8 years old so I read them so fast that it doesn't bother me.

Kids and teens are inundated with phone prompts day and night
Thanks to the damn notifications now I HATE modern phones, I have uninstalled nearly every app from my phone, deleted mail accounts and set some tools to make my phone a normal phone again, nowdays smartphones are just a source of annoying ads. I installed an app (I think the name is minimalist phone) and it has a function to create a "box" for low priority notifications.

That Download ain't right.
That's why I like old offline games like Skyrim, the only updates I get are mods and when I want. Or I can just turn updates off.

Reopen the subreddit in restricted mode?
I think it would be better to open it for just a few minutes to save all the useful posts and then save them on some cloud, most info is just text, it would be easy to store.

What is the worst experience you've had reading a book?
Almost every book I read back when I was a school student.
Each month we had to read a boring book chosen by the school, and at the end of each month we had a annoying test with questions like: "When the protagonist discovered the truth, what was the emotion he felt?" Or "How did the author felt when writing this?" So I had to read 300 pages of a boring book and pay attention to each detail each month.
I don't dislike reading, actually I enjoy good books, but reading something against my will is sickening.

ChatGPT Isn't as Good at Coding as We Thought
It can be useful for basic coding or to answer questions like 'Is there any way to do X thing in Javascript?' I were talking about it with some classmates , they said the same. There was one program I was doing on my own with Js & Html (I'm still learning) and for relying to much on GPT without much knowledge I ended up "walking on circles" for 6 Hours without any progress. It is good for giving some information and sometimes finding a bug, but never, never use it as if it were capable of doing everything. It's a tool, not a programmer.

That's true but...I have been in GNI/Linux for just a year and have been reading how Ubuntu nowdays is awful but it was a great distro a few years ago.
Anyway, my opinion on Ubuntu has no weight since all I have used is Arch based distros

How Everything Became A Subscription
Subscriptions are such a pain, I just keep things simple. If I can buy and own a product I pay for it, if I have to choose between paying for a subscription or getting the product for free, I choose owning the product for free. The only services that I pay for are things that are more services than products, example: VPNs.
