Worse than that, the issue the article states isn't that it's a flat pack, it's that fedora is pushing their rebuilt flat pack of obs that's buggy instead of the official obs one from flat hub that works, and then the obs project is getting bug reports for a third party distribution that's broken.

Because fedora isn't just pushing flat packs, they're pushing made by fedora versions of them instead of the official builds from the maintainers.

I've not found them useful yet for more than basic things. I tried Ollama, it let's you run locally, has simple setup, stays out of the way.

The proxmox interface let's you make the containers, but you have to install the software you want to host in that container after creation.

These scripts let you run a script that makes the container and also installs what you want to host within the container and does the setup.

I used their script to set up a home assistant vm, you run the script and it downloads the HaOS install media and does the install in the VM for you, preconfigured, and starts it so all I had to do was go access the web interface.

I ran into this after not buying anything new in a while (really don't need new games) If you have anything in your steam wallet from past items being sold, you can use that for the requirement of buying something, look for just a cheap classic, usually they can be $0.99 or so on steam sales. I found that works to get back to being able to trade again

I'm waiting to see regular reviews of those slate trucks and maybe a second model year/iteration. And maybe waiting to see if they eventually get better range. Sure not having a radio or infotainment is overkill, and only hand crank windows is overkill, but for $25k-30k and no big screen, it seems quite reasonable if all I want is a reliable box that moves around.

That's two Android phones with at least 5 years on the latest OS, and Fairphone 2 got patch updates until this year, giving it support and updates from 2014 until 2023

Also a lot of the stuff about willing buyer and seller assumes that the buyer has options, I don't think from the perspective of real people that everyone has that many options, so they end up with loans or other things which are not good, just to be able to afford vehicles to get to work or a place to live.

So a lot if this seems written by a rich person who has always been able to buy everything they needed and more, not someone who is having to go take loans or go into debt just to be able to get to work.
