Well damn I think they got us

I mean... Why did the God not protect the baby anymore? Is the crucifix a required magic catalyst or something to get Gods protection? Do we have any known cases where the catalyst was not needed?

I think I'm closer to solving the riddle of Gods power...

It's not that bad. Little accountability never hurt anyone!

If I had to have a dismissive opinion though, if the license plates do not increase safety and reduce bike thefts, then it's just another meaningless cog on the machine.

On duty

Remember to bring a weapon with you when checking the perimeter!

Anyway, this strangely sounds related to self motivation, where you frame the obnoxious thing as something more useful. Like once I managed to get my kids to eat porridge by saying the bear from a cartoon eats it.

Mark Zuckerberg's Pivot to AI Is Blowing Up in His Face Spectacularly

For those that want to read about the fault of human psyche:

https://technophilosoph.com/en/2024/06/09/why-we-trust-ai-despite-the-gell-mann-amnesia-effect/

The popular author Michael Crichton named this effect after his physicist friend Murray Gell-Mann, who had noticed how newspaper readers, for example, after studying an erroneous article on a subject in which they themselves are very knowledgeable, just shake their heads and find the reporting on it distorted, erroneous and lacking in understanding. However, if they then turn the page and read an article on another topic in which they themselves have little knowledge, they trust the information in this article almost without reservation.

The importance of training data

Imagine, all of the cultural mistakes and prejudices of the past are in written format and freely available for AI to be trained with!

Maybe the AI can discern the 1960s science fiction lingo as imaginary, or the societal norms women used to have in science and literature as old fashioned. But I sure do hope AI does not make suggestions based on religious scriptures, even if many people claim to believe the stuff to be true.
