Has this ever happened to you?

Like the guy defenitely comes off as a dick but also if you check out conventional social media you will see guys who talk about being expected to pay for not just the girl but also their friend, and you will see girls talk about how if she brings a friend for protection then the guy should pay for the friend too.

So many variables exist that we don’t know but for some people there an expectation that if a girl brings a friend the guy needs to pay for both and I wouldn’t default that to just misogyny

Human bodies slowly die over the course of 75ish years, so by your logic if you see someone stabbing the shit out of someone there is no reason to stop it because naturally they are going to die anyway and we shouldn’t take any action to stop the person from dying?

British Woman shot by dad in Texas after 'arguing about Donald Trump'

Reply in thread

Do you seriously believe that guys story

“He said: "As I lifted the gun to show her I suddenly heard a loud bang. I did not understand what had happened. Lucy immediately fell."

An alcoholic POS who recently relapsed and said he wouldn’t care that his daughter was raped is now drunk and showed her a gun and it just went off for no reason and he couldn’t remember if his finger was on the trigger…

Give me a fucking break… he called her into the room and shot her and made up a story afterwards

Lawsuit accusing ranch of forcing teens to do hard labor settles for $2.3 million

Because the title doesn’t really give enough context they were advertising as a place for kids with mental health problems but instead just used them for free labor

“Trinity Teen Solutions promised to help girls with mental health and behavioral problems, but a group of women who’d been placed there as teens by their parents accused the [now-defunct ranch] of forcing them to perform manual labor. Tasks included repairing barbed wire fences, castrating animals and laying irrigation pipes, Injuries were disregarded, it states, and the girls were subjected to humiliating punishments if they did not do the work as ordered.”

DEI4All

Reply in thread

DEI is not about having quotas for X amount of every group even though people like to spout that nonsense. It’s about removing hurdles that people may have that may seem innocuous

For example if a job that is done fully remote is requiring people to interview in person a DEI analysis would look at that and say that’s not very inclusive of the disabled who may struggle to do the in person interview even though they can perform all the duties of their job with their disability so we should offer remote interviews

Like all other initiatives that start off fine, you also do just end up with some upper manager who tells some random middle manager with no experience to make things more DEI and that middle manager does some stupid shit

Not difficult to understand

It depends on the context if you say you had an NDA and can’t elaborate at all on the details that’s a clear red flag as most NDAs you can at least give the context of what it is about I.e. specific job processes, witnesses an event, etc.

If you say you worked for X company but can’t talk about the details of your work because of an NDA then that’s fine but they might call your old employer to verify you did really work there.
