Android is now warning of Firefox sharing data
Even if this isn't entirely true, you know Google wouldn't pass up the opportunity to reduce Firefox market share to scare everyone back to Chrome.

Bye bye Garmin, hello Polar (from Finland)
Gentle reminder that you should not use this as an excuse to buy things imo. I see too many people just replacing perfectly good items. It's much better if there's an anti consumption stance (use what you have, repair, buy used, buy, local, buy regionally) in that order.

This is sooooo good. This is how you know it's working. This is how you vote with your dollar. Keep up the anti-consumption. Boycott the fuck out of these assholes. Life is more interesting not giving them a single cent.

Hey Reddit, how's it going? Reddit:

I regressed back to Reddit for a bit. I'm back for good after I found out they're also suppressing anti consumption movements.
Reddit can keep all the NPCs.

I'm sure you're all wonderful people, but how can I play the game without encountering anyone else?
I don't mind seeing people running around but I'd love an option to turn off nameplates. There's a rampant amount of I'm 14 and this is funny names and that breaks the immersion for me.

Maybe making a browser doesn't need to be so damn expensive. Let the web standards freeze so we aren't constantly chasing shiny things. The browser is in a really good spot today. What else does it need to be?

Peter Molyneux says he regrets over-promising his games
Reply in thread
I have a love hate relationship with this man. He has spearheaded some of my favorite games even if they came nowhere close to what was promised. It's so weird to come back to Fable and enjoy it more than I did when it came out.

Someone made a nonviolent luigi post and it was deleted.. wonder why?
Reply in thread
I dunno, that poll reads very much in favor of Luigi. The fact that a poll needs to be run in the first place for an act like this. To me anything that's not strongly against this is showing some sort of support.

The Cloud Is a Prison. Can the Local-First Software Movement Set Us Free?
Reply in thread
We have so much computing power at home and the chances you have good reliable Internet at home are better than before. I revived 5 year old PCs and it's way too much computing power for my self host needs. I'd have to pay $200+ a month for the same compute power in the cloud. Even a Raspberry Pi with 8GB is capable of running quite a bit for fractions of a penny in electricity.
