Mark Zuckerberg Just Told 8,000 Employees Their Layoffs Are a Line Item in His $145 Billion AI Bill

Can't wait to read a near-future article about all those employees making a new company that is unionized private non-stock and does better than Zuck's Facebook. Making an open-source Facebook alternative so good that they end uo replacing Facebook altogether

Also, some people were open to making an open source business community on this platform to share how to get different businesses up and running, and how to grow/maintain them. Wonder if they would still like to do that

WTF Is Happening To The Video Game Industry?

More and more people are saying the solution:

We need more better alternatives to what we currently have

More worker-owned unionized game studios that make spiritual successor games to what the big publishers make (To gradually replace them. AC is only thing keeping Ubisoft afloat. A spiritual successor that is better than it with mod support would make Ubisoft tumble fully)

More worker-owned companies that champion physical media, same for worker-owned companies that champion digital ownership for all industries, even videogames

A few more videogame hardware components, and hardware manufacturers to compete with each other. To fight for our money and actually have to innovate

Those are what will help game industry. Oh and supporting Indies, and AA games of course.

Everyone let's keeping building those new options up and supporting any good alternatives that already exist too.

"Different parts of industry head honchos need to be replaced by way better ones"

We should all be encouraging Europeans to:

  1. Force Android and iOS to be given to the people to own and open-source the OS fully in EU with GPL license
  2. Fine them to oblivion if they do not cooperate
  3. If they try to double down then piece up their companies into parts

We all tired of their fucking shit. Everyone keep getting people active and informed on all this!! Together anything is possible!!

Time for Open Source Community EV's to Be Made. Anybody want to do something like that?

Additional Comment:

It seems like the trend of open source is expanding not just more broadly in regions: Europe adopting it. But also in natural expansions: open source hardware.

Would be interesting if we can get a couple more opensource communities up and running and get more people interested in open source in various ways.

opensourcevehicles/opensourcetransit seems like the next logical step. (I would like to help with this)

Extra Side Notes:

Another area that can be good is opensourcebusiness (Everything related to starting, running, etc a business to make it more accessible for people. Would help more open source companies be made as well overtime)

opensourceanimation/anime (grow that part of the community to collaborate with for visual presentations of open source projects. Animated Tux would be amazing. An anime Krita mascot intro. We can get really creative), opensourcevalues (teaching values and ethics: hope, empathy, strength, we the people, gratitude, humble, etc) and opensourceuxui (grow that part of the community too to collaborate with. UX/UI community struggles with at times) to expand on main opensource software/hardware communities themselves

Personal Note:

2 more being opensourcehealth (To give a baseline of health resources people can make use of), open source housing, opensourcefood, open source water, and opensourcefinances (Baseline of finance resources). All that is more of a personal want but don't know if there is much want in the open source community for those 5.

'No Kings!' 8 Million Rally Against Trump in Largest Single-Day Protest in US History | Common Dreams

Everyone forgot that there is a hidden big good function for protests more than just a good way to show unity

The hidden function is to enable people to be together so they can socialize, get to know each other, and brainstorm on what they can do together to make things better in some way. Brainstorming, doing, and collaborating united

Everybody in a protest getting things done is more effective than a protest where everyone is only just walking with signs

We seriously need to ask Valve to make SteamOS phones.

Not only will they be good for gaming but imagine being able to put other OS'es on it like PC's. Bazzite, PostmarketOS, etc. Plus Valve will still get revenue from people using the upcoming Steam ARM Game Store, and the current Bannerhub/Gamenative community android apps that enable playing PC games they own from Steam/GOG on Phones

Its such a huge opportunity that we all should be encouraging then to pursue now and after they release their current 3 big projects: Steam Controllers, Steam Machines, Steam Frames

Time for opensourcevehicles and opensourcetransit to become a thing. I'm one of many people interested in doing that. Anyone have spitball ideas on how to go about doing that?

Trying to think up some simpler first projects, how to get it funded, and how to get a community for that up and running

Also, some people were interested in making opensourcebusiness community. If anyone is still interested then please do it there was 7 people I remember that were interested at the time for that

We can also get opensourceanimation, opensourceuiux, and way more up and running. To slowly transform our world and get open source to grow even more

Edit: Would be cool for people to get community projects made for bikes, electric bikes, bike-cars, cars, VTOL's, and way more overtime. Trams, trolleys, trains, high speed rail, airplanes, submarines, airships, etc

Edit 2: Main focus being people-focused transit. Didn't realize I was in fuckcars. If we are going to have any transit might as well be open source especially EV's
