How is love even possible under traditional gender roles if men aren't allowed to be vulnerable?

Congrats on seeing thru the facade so young. It's kind of ironic, the more a man "tries to be manly" the weaker they come off. It comes from a deep insecurity that they don't think other people will view them as "strong" so they go out of their way to "appear manly" so they can prove to others and themselves that actually, they really ARE manly, cuz again, deep down they aren't so sure.

You can see this when a man gets hyper- offended if someone calls them gay. Someone who knows themselves, maybe even explored a little, and is super confident in who they are and what they like would not even think to be offended if someone calls them gay.

Is it just me or i feel life is getting more difficult these days?

It's really hard to tell what was just younger kids not being exposed to the world vs. things actually getting worse. I was a kid during '08, and things didn't really change for me at home cuz my family was always very frugal, especially my dad.

Climate change has empirically gotten worse tho. Inflation, enshitification, food quality, all of it SEEMS worse but it's hard to quantify it you know?
