The Xbox Series S Is More Popular Than The Xbox Series X

It makes sense. It may suprise a lot of people on here but their biggest market is not the people who demand 4k 60FPS in all games and will riot if they don't get it. Their main market is kids playing FIFA and Minecraft and other casual gamers who just enjoy fun games at a reasonable budget. For that they really got it right with the Series S.

Kamala Harris wants Trump's mic to stay unmuted the whole time during their upcoming debate

Reply in thread

I didn't know about the muted mics at the last debate so when I saw all the highlights I was surprised how calm and respectful Trump was to Biden. I couldn't understand it, I thought maybe he was being kind and had some sympathy to Biden due to his ill state at the time.

But then I remembered who the F he is and now I know his mic was muted it all makes sense. I'm surprised he didn't just try shouting anyway over the muted mic.

But just watching those highlights in isolation without that knowledge it almost...... kinda almost made him seem human.

So definitely, unmute the mics so we see the real Trump and let him implode.

The precision is impressive

Nice to see something impressive done with a ping pong ball on the internet that isn't NSFW.

That machine is impressive though. If it's a preprogrammed sequence that's great, but if it's got sensors to monitor and adapt on the fly its even more impressive.

Oh I get it. The top picture is a bike. 🚲 The bottom picture is the same bike after being hit by a 6ft tall SUV while trying to cross that intersection.

Every Type of Plastic Used By LEGO

The quality of Lego helps, you shouldn't ever really need to be throwing them away. The problem I do have with them is the excessive use of single use plastic in their packaging. So many plastic bags in all their sets. I'm sure they said they were sorting that out but I'm still getting packages full of plastic bags! It can't be that difficult to sort that out and repalce those with some cardboard boxes or paper bags!

Call for UK utility firms to face higher fines for ‘street scars’ on pavements

This really grinds my gears!

One of the things they do that really drives me nuts is when they dig up a junction with road markings, when they tarmac over the bit they dug up they then repaint the white lines, but ONLY on the tiny strip they dug up, leaving the rest of the old faded lines with just one patch of bright white paint on it. Looks ridiculous. Seriously they can't repaint the entire line!?

The slow death of Twitter is measured in disasters like the Baltimore bridge collapse

Reply in thread

Exactly, I was the same. This is the News that Twitter was good for, the live events.

I'd always check Twitter for the initial on the scene explanation of what was happening from local people. In my case it was a massive warehouse fire that I could see the smoke in the distance. Obviously there was nothing about it on the traditional news sites, but loads of stuff from local people on Twitter immediately.

Then afterwards you'd just read the proper News outlets for the full official details after the fact.
