Right-wingers want every woman to be a mom and also hate moms now
The repugnant blob of mens rights activists, MAGA influencers, manosphere podcasters, and fascists that get their micropayments from X’s dwindling Verified user ad revenue program are not just demonizing the women who have come out in support of Clancy — though, they are certainly doing that — but are also yanking any old video off TikTok they can find of women talking about postpartum depression or the pressures of motherhood and inciting an unimaginable amount of harassment against the original poster.

This title and this whole situation is incredibly dumb and shouldn't be considered a left wing or right wing issue. This is just a sad situation. I don't feel that this article should be here but whatever
Some asshole was arguing against paid maternity leave by saying “just cause you got cream pied doesn’t mean you get six months off“ and I’m like sir you have a mother.
He probably hates her as well.
He should have ended up as a spat out stain on the ground
"You're just some afterbirth that....slithered out of your mother's filth. They should have put you in a glass jar on the mantle."
“You was never shit, your mother should've swallowed you” -Big L
The best part of him was a stain on the sheets
Y'allqueda strikes again.
This article is doing the classic move of lumping thousands of unorganized individuals together and treating them as a collective.
The very same thing they are calling out as bad behavior.
SMH, the US has become so polarized...
You don't think that "mens rights activists, MAGA influencers, manosphere podcasters, and fascists" are a collective?
So much of the zeitgeist is now in service of dividing us. There can and should be reasonable discussions on both sides of this specific story, and indeed on every other story. But we're now conditioned to be in one of two extreme camps, neither of which are reasonable.
One extreme is good and the other extreme is bad.
Both sides, blah blah blah
No, both sides of those in power are not doing equal damage.
But we are most certainly being divided into two to further the cause of the more destructive power (Republicans/billionaires)
Other than both things being a function of the number two, they’re not the same.
Who tf downvoted this

I kinda don't like that... Oh well.
Edit: Cool, thanks [email protected] for down voting my comment at August 25, 2026 2:11 AM!
I didn't know this was a thing :O
Bunch of lemmy.world folks, but the one I found who commented was more pissed about the polarizing political language used rather than lacking empathy for mental health of new mothers.
At least it's not Reddit. Every time PPD is discussed on Reddit that I've seen, the discussion was immediately overwhelmed by men arguing that men also suffer PPD.
Incels.
the world is burning and all I want is to disappear into the woods to save myself and my family. I can't do that though, because the corporate entities that are driving society insane have purchased all the land.
doesn't matter because those same corpofascists drove property values so high I couldn't afford it in my lifetime.
silver lining, I won't have long to live because I'll likely die from food poisoning or some outbreak of a preventable disease.
You can't do that because that won't save them or anyone. I understand the desire to escape, but other people are our way out of this. We only survive and thrive by working together, not by hiding ourselves away.
Wtf is this article doing why is it so fucking loaded? If you think a family destroyer should be behind bars you are right wing?
Tiktok brainrot propaganda china's mouthpiece
Yes, the content here is just as polarizing as everywhere else. Comments show the same trend too. It is better overall, but still.
I understand that there's enough evidence to suggest that her husband may have been responsible, looks like enough for reasonable doubt.
Not to stir up anything, but my understanding is that even her own defense doesn't dispute that the children died at her hands. Her defense is that "she should not be held accountable because she was overmedicated and suffering from postpartum psychosis."
(I put that last part in quotes because it was copy/pasted verbatim from the news reporting.)
Thank you for that.
So are you going to edit your comment suggesting the father murdered his children or are you cool leaving that up there? This is how misinformation begins with people like you.
No, because the two aren't mutually exclusive, and what I said isn't wrong.
