It's been 6 years. $500mil really isn't a high target for worldwide.
Why has this entire decade been wasted on capeshit and rebootslop.
There have been really good movies these past 6 years. The audience is to be blamed here no? I still regret not going to The Transformers One(2024) movie.
It's the economy worldwide too. I don't know how long they're going to be expecting us to fork out increasing amounts of cash for movie tickets, as if that's not becoming a huge luxury for a lot of people. Maybe that's why people expect every single comic book movie to be some kind of transcendental experience now. 'Good' isn't good enough anymore when there's the entire catalogue of Netflix for a month, for half the price.
Personally I'm getting sick of the "nothing is good anymore" people. They say this about everything from movies to games to music. And honestly, I think it's a skill issue. We live in the era of choice with entire catalogues of entertainment at our fingertips. But they're still expecting to be spoonfed everything like it's 1995.
Also, not everyone likes the same things. So it's up to you, dear reader, to actually fucking look for the things you like. If you no longer watch TV or listen to radio or go anywhere near mainstream social media, the fact that you can't find anything to watch / play / listen to is your fucking problem. Complaining that nothing is good anymore while refusing to actually look for it, is like sticking your head in the ground and complaining that someone turned the lights off.

I can't relate with costs tbh. Movie tickets are super cheap where I live. I agree with you tho. I was bummed out after watching Spider-Man cause I thought it was meh. Not bad but not worth the extra price on the ticket(idk why it costed more maybe cause of 3d? Idk)

I wouldn’t watch obsession in your case. It’s an exceptional horror movie that plays on relationship trauma. Will leave you deeply unsettled, especially if you’ve ever had experience with a codependent partner
