Fun fact: GIFs have a redefinable up-to-256-color palette (using fewer for encoded videos is possible but rare because of the poor "returns" for the sacrifice), meaning greyscale images with visible banding or dithering are poorly optimized
Yeah, I keep playing with the various convert options including color count, dithering, etc., trying to keep the sizes small. webms do it better, but as "videos" they are subject to different permissions that don't allow for easy viewing in some cases.
The guy in the GIF, yes. Steven Seagal is his name, in case your were curious. He's a rare case in the movie indistry in the sense that he is a famous movie star without actually being an actor.
If you do, I could recommend a spicy but really unconventional twist on it. A lot of shitty movies like this have Wikipedia plot summaries that are lacking, inaccurate in small ways, etc. Watching it for the sake of reviewing and possibly revising that summary is a kind of perverse joy that feels impossible to sell to someone who's never tried.
For example, I rewrote the summary for Whiteout (2009 film), and it was way more fun than just watching it straight. Noticing every stupid fucking detail and how hard it was to actually turn the bullshit plot into a coherent summary was enriching in a way that's hard to describe.
Holding a VR gun is easier when the gun isn't actually two separate devices you have to hold as if they were a single rigid structure. That's why I taped my controllers to a stick.
I think switching sides like that is used when clearing corners in certain situations, I could be mistaken. But seagal here is definitely not holding that piece in any proper way.
This reminds me of that weird MAGA couple who stood in their driveway brandishing their guns as a protest went by. I know little about guns but someone pointed out that he was holding it in the wrong direction such that hot shells would be ejected directly into his chest if he were to fire. I guess in addition to other things, Seagal is guilty of that one here too since he’s holding the gun both ways.
It took me FOREVER to figure out what's wrong, guys. And I felt SO STUPID afterwards lol. Like JEEZ what kind of IDIOT doesn't see what's wrong right away. They probably go to the comments to see if someone will tell them. LAWL. Oh man. Yeah.
Well anyway. Guess I'll leave now. BYE!!

Ok fine. All I can see is the butt of the gun isn't being braced by his shoulder, so when he shoots it the recoil is going to make it fly backwards and out of his hands. That's all I've got. Idk. Dude's ambidextrous otherwise.

The actor in question likes the smell of his own farts so much that he started to believe he really was the bad ass he acted in his movies. But he's a joke, really. And lazy. This scene in particular demonstrates this. It isn't so much that it isn't braced, but how casually it is swapped in a supposed dangerous situation. You simply wouldn't handle a real weapon that way. If he deliberately leaned into the lameness for the yucks that would be one thing. But, no. He's serious. And that makes it really funny.
He might be ambidextrous but his gun sure ain't. Unless it's one of these weird bullpups that eject casings downwards (it's not) in one of these positions casings will impact his face or arm

You’d be surprised how little recoil there really is with 5.56. It’s a bigger priority to get solid cheek weld and keeping the head upright which often means that most of the stock is not actually in contact with the shoulder, just the corner.
Some setups will even just have a pad on the buffer tube, or they’ll use a brace that isn’t meant to be shouldered.

When I take acid and try to do anything and constantly re adjust my grip on the tools at hand, especially bad when tying my shoes
Did you know one of your shoes is slightly tighter or looser than the other one you just don't usually notice?
(Hell yeah buddy.)
Actual footage of Meal Team Six, the Trump-backed, all-man, testosterone-jacked team.
He’s hunting for a chair.
Fatly going around corners
Everytime!
"moves fatly around the corner"
Rare footage of a maskless ICE agent.
Nah, that's an ICE CREAM agent
When you’re a perfect match for the “mustachioed cop” look, no need to mask. He could be anyone.
I mean, he did have a stint as a cop, during which time he killed some dogs with a tank

mp4 with h264 plays well in almost everything, and will be a fraction of the size.
Literally and figuratively a Tankie

He hangs out with Putin and is about the size and weight of a T-64
op or the guy in the gif?
edit: please I'm actually confused 😭

lol, jesus. I like looking out of windows too much to hang out with Putin.
Steven Seagal, the guy in the gif.

Thanks, now I know which dumb movie I'm watching later. 3/10 on IMDB and I have a feeling they were being generous.

Edit: Also want to add that this 1000% applies to shitty game plot summaries too.
I'll save that for a day filled with more self-hatred but I like the idea. Similar to representing an obviously guilty client in court.

It's so much fun becoming an expert on random, shitty movies where the stakes are so low. Maybe you need to be a certain type; I don't know.
I prefer suggesting creative edits all over grokipedia
For an action movie star he sure sits a lot

What kind of stick?
Any of these would do:
Those are good sticks

Bend over and I'll show you
We once made a fake DVD-cover for a friend's birthday where we all played different action movie stars. I was Steven Seagal.
I'm not proud to say that I still have the body to be his double.
You're not out of shape. You're a dedicated cosplayer.
A sizable portion of firearm usage technique is about dealing with recoil. Which is nonexistent in VR.
Just hold the rifle in front of your nose.
It took me until the second play to realize what was wrong. What was he thinking??
Bold assumption.
Steven Seagal is legendary for being the action star that moves in the absolute least he can.
I might be oblivious... What am I missing here?
EDIT: Wait, I think I see it. The stock is just kind of floating above his shoulder around his cheek, right?
Basically nobody would switch hands and aim with the other eye like that. You have a dominant hand and eye when shooting.
He could be ambidextrous, I guess, but it's still very unnatural to do this.
(edit: and yes, the floating stock, lol)

Cumtowns Seagal take
Came here to make sure that we were linking to THE actual research - cumtown's deep dive on Steven Seagal
Specifically, his Entenmann's Donuts Era.
If you had a torso like that you wouldn't have the energy to turn the whole thing, either.
Hey it might be bad but at least he's up and moving here.
He could be wheeled around... We don't see his legs.
To be fair, he hasn't seen his legs in a while either.
Looks like Seagull thinks he's carrying the world's tiniest bazooka...
I must confess that it took me ages to find out what's wrong
I tried to 360 no scope and accidentally strangled my cat. Even worse, I missed. VRT-bags are no joke.
What are vrt-bags?
Being teabagged in VR.
Ohhh that was so obvious that i misread it
It's ok, first time I ever typed it and even I got confused thinking it looked like virtual replacement therapy bags or something

I got a gun set for the quest off ali express. More expensive than you would think, but it is decent quality
I fucking love that movie
