I've heard online that, almost a decade after launch, For Honor got dedicated servers. As someone who loved the game, but couldn't put up with the netcode, this is great news, but very late.
Is it a good time for someone who has effectively not played since launch to come back?
I'm giving lancer a shot at my table and eying the HA Corvette Job as a one shot to demo the system, my only concern is encounter balancing, given I've never played before. I'm likely to be playing with 4 (though it's a one shot so odds are good someone will try and sneak in/out on the day of) and I'd like to keep it at LL0 for first timers to keep things simple, but that feels low on the tier one (LL0-4) recommendation of the mission, especially for new players.
Any insight, or general advice for a first time lancer gm is appreciated!
I've got an old win10 laptop. It's nothing fancy in 2025, but I use it now and then while traveling, just to have a proper computer on hand. It's time to move it over to Linux, and I have A LITTLE Linux experience. I work in software dev, so I know my way around CLI, but I don't have much firsthard experience, other than occasionally using Kali for offsec tools. What are the distros I should be considering for a personal gaming laptop for occasional use for both gaming and occasional general use? Why?
