They really messed up the rotation for Eurasia and Australia

Finally, a real world map, including New Zealand, Old Zealand, Australia, and Antistralia!

This is actually a myth, it's true that the Crock, snake, insect, jellyfish etc will heal you on sight but some indigenous koala bears and wallabies can actually take down a pack of wild anti-stralian hamsters.

Thanks for the info, we're gonna have to import some of that fauna to Prostralia, hopefully that'll help with their prostate issues..

The more I look at it, the more uncomfortable it makes me.

Probably the most concerning thing is that they flipped Africa. That comes with a lot negative implications for it's 1.5B human residents, even if they got adequate forewarning and the process was slow and gentle.

I've got some bad news to you. They rotate it every single day!

Sometime this year, there was an interesting article about African governments premiering an altered sphere projection map of the world that more accurately showcases how much of Earth’s landmass is in Africa, rather than Russian/US/Europe regions.

They even pointed out it has social implications towards how much aid Africans get.

It took me ages to realise that Australia is where it's always been, and everything else has been moved around.

I kinda assumed people would stay with their land, so now that Florida shares a border with China, I'm imagining Chinese news outlets reporting all kinds of "Florida man" stories.

To me, it looks like Hawaii didn't move, and that New Zealand and Japan swapped places. Admittedly, that could be speculative. There's a good chance that New Zealand doesn't exist, because a lot of maps don't show it.

1

Ah I forgot to edit my comment, yeah my friend pointed out NZ and JP switched places like you said haha

2

This is what having dementia feels like.
Imagine every world map suddenly looking like this, and people not understanding why you're confused about it.
"What do you mean? It's always been like this!"

At a glance, I don't imagine most countries would benefit from this, but I am genuinely curious what your counterpoint is.

3

It's not the current world, so it's worth a roll of the dice

I started with a map with 10 meters of sea level rise and fiddled with it a bit, but I like the way you think.

7

Yeah nah, go for it, go attack Greenland now, ya bloody yank.

i was trying to figure out all the changes, but then looked at north america and gave up

I know it’s a shitpost, but the resolution isn’t high enough to fully appreciate how shit the post is.
