I actually did a make your own pizza party a while back, I encouraged people to get weird with it and a lot of my my friends are kind of foodies, so here's a couple standouts

Goat cheese, hot honey, fig preserves, and capocllo

Spicy hawaiian - grilled pineapple, bacon, ham or spam, jalapenos, drizzle of hoisin sauce

Mac & cheese

Taco- taco meat, cheddar, red onions, jalapenos, lettuce tomato

Cheeseburger - ground beef, cheddar, mustard, ketchup, pickles, onions

Desert pizza- pie filling, vanilla glaze, crumb topping

Sort of a knock-off flammkuchen- creme fraise (sour cream would probably also work fine,) gruyere, onions, bacon

Buffalo Chicken - chicken, hot sauce, blue cheese crumbles, diced celery, shredded carrots

Breakfast pizza- eggs (we used quail eggs because my pizza oven is on the small side and we could get them, just crack them right onto the top of the pizza,) bacon, sausage, hash browns

Chicken Tika masala

Greek- kalamata olives, feta, spinach tomatoes, balsamic

And of course we had all of the standard pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, olives, peppers, etc.

A couple different sauces - standard pizza sauce, pesto, vodka sauce, Alfredo, etc.

An authentic Katana sword used by a Shogun warrior for slicing pizza.

The Samurai optometrist provided a nice fitting pair of tortoiseshell frames. Poor little turtle didn’t feel a thing.

Are you wanting like, a type of pizza? Or something to throw people off? If the former, you could try a bacon chicken ranch, those are always yummm. If the latter, you could bring a calzone, it’s technically a pizza but it’s different than the norm

11

Yeah, oven make some bacon and it's great to crumble on pizza for something like this. Could make chicken for the same idea too!

I really don't like judging food without having tried it, but I just can't imagine that raccoon meat tastes amazing.

We had a club here back in the day in my region called The Coon, Corn and Kibitzer club.

A monthly club to feast on racoon meat.

2

Sliced psilocybe cubensis (do not cook in oven though, place on pizza after cooking)

More seriously though; grapes, smoked salmon, or sundried tomato

6

Homemade spicy dipping sauce for pizza bones

You can literally just take a can of tomato sauce (crushed tomatoes) add in a little bit of salt and pepper, some paprika or other heat. Little bit of oregano, thyme, basil, garlic.... And for the love of god at least a heaping teaspoon of sugar.

Let it simmer on low for a good 20 minutes, and you are the star of the show when you get there. It doesn't even need to be served hot, there's something very nice about a cool sauce that still has zip and flavor

6

Artichoke hearts. Squeeze them to break apart the thin petals and spread them around.

Goes well with spinach and sundried tomatoes. Might try an olive oil and garlic base, put down the spinach, some of the cheese, artichoke hearts, rest of the cheese, then sundried tomatoes. Add anything you like, but remember that thin toppings can burn, so putting them under some cheese helps.

Had anchovy and pepperoni pizza the other day, it was awesome. Found myself a new favorite pizza topping.

Shoarma is popular in my country on pizzas. I was never a fan but it grew on me.

5

It's probably due to some cultural differences but the meat on a spin unit is called döner kebab here. Shoarma is little strips of pork with a certain herb on it. It's more like gyros in a way.

I used to work in the kitchen at a place that many fancy and non traditional puzzas, and had the opportunity to experiment a lot. Theres lots of good ideas mentioned but the main one i havent seen yet is Brie

You can pair it with lots of things, my favourite was 3 mushroom mix and a truffle honey drizzle. Some other good combinations include anything a bit sweet and savory/spicy. A spicy pear Chutney, mango, spicy red pepper jelly and prosciutto/bacon. Play around with it but brie is amazing on pizza. Id use like a quarter of the mozzarella i usually would and cut the brie into small pieces as it would melt a fair amount, and have little islands of it spread all over. Delicious.

Edit: another good one that comes to mind is a pierogi/potato bacon pizza. Potatoes can either be blanched and diced, sliced thin and fried like chips and added right before finishing cooking, or sliced thin and blanched like scalloped potatoes. Some scallions and bacon and a bit of creme fraiche to top is really nice also.

4

When I was at LaSalle, the non-alcoholic nightclub on campus made "pizza skins". A personal pan pizza style crust covered with mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, and bacon. Served with sour cream and I think chopped scallions.

It was awesome.

A chainsaw. Not really sure what you'd use it for, but it would certainly be interesting

Slice up the pizza with some dramatic pizzazz. Wait it just occurred to me that pizzazz & pizza are quite similar words.

3

Cheeseburger pizza - beef, pickles, grilled onions, french fries, cheddar /mozz blend

Taco pizza - carnitas, pickled red onions, sour cream, grilled seranno, chihuahua / mozz blend

PB&J - Figs and pistachios, drizzled with lemon-infused balsamic

3

A calzone or stromboli always go over big whenever friends/family want pizza. They're great to cut and dunk in your favorite kind of mari.

Chicken-Bacon-Ranch pizza is often overlooked.

Breakfast pizza is always a winner.

Garlic / white sauce pizza is basically garlic bread on roids.

Personal opinion but Anchovies are amazing on pizza / baked in 'zones and 'bolis. I know most people don't like them, but they're actually pretty incredible for flavor. It's the reason Ceasar dressing tastes so good!

I have been using Caputo Gluten Free Pizza dough and wow it is very comparable to a regular Napoli pizza. I have zero affiliation, but as a pizza fan with gluten sensitivity I have tried many many recipes and gluten free flour brands and even my own flour blends, and somehow Caputo is the only one that is hard to tell from a real wheat flour pizza. No idea why either as the ingredients are very similar to other gluten free flours. Cannot recommend more as even your wheat based pizza fans will likely not be able to tell a difference.

3

Crazy toppings. I'd assume the host would be providing dough so I'd basically empty out my fridge. All the meats, veggies, and cheeses I got. All sauces are game. Hell I'd bring some sweet candy stuff, marshmallow fluff, for those weirdos who like "dessert pizza". Throw some fucking twizzlers on a marshmallow pizza with caramel and chocolate sauce for all I care. Related, a bowl of (CLEARLY MARKED) weed edibles would definitely spice it up depending on how cool the crowd is.

I had a really good pizza topped with stinging nettle once. (It doesn’t sting after cooking.)

3

During covid, there were ghost kitchens in LA that made Nashville Hot Chicken pizza. It was torture, but it was also delicious. I miss it.

2

Starchy potatoes, gruyère cheese and black pepper.

Scalloped potato pizza is good for cold weather.

2

Giardiniera (hot pickled veggies) and Italian Beef if you want to be a hero.

2

You could go southeast asia style and do a seafood cocktail pizza topped with a spiral of kewpie mayo.

2

Quality Gorgonzola cheese. I prefer the picante (older and stronger) version, but dolce (younger and milder) can be great too.

2

I haven't made one myself before but I know that I like BLT pizzas. It's basically mayonnaise instead of pizza sauce, and it's topped with bacon, lettuce, tomato and whatever cheese(s) you want.

So there’s a pizza place nearby that has something called a “Russian roulette pizza”. One slice is made with Carolina Reaper sauce, while the rest are normal pizza sauce. My buddy brought one to work, and told us what it was. We all laughed, gathered around, and took a bite at the same time.

The sly motherfucker had them make the entire pizza with the reaper sauce. We all spent the next 15 minutes fighting over the single lukewarm water fountain like we were running out of air and it was an oxygen hose.

Fyi capsaicin is an oil so if you want to wash it out of your mouth, the correct thing is to swish your mouth out with oil, not water. I'm not kidding.

Then better bring dough and other typical ingredients (tomatoes, slice of pineapple, salami…)
