Ralph Vaughan Williams - The Lark Ascending (I'm partial to Hilary Hahn's 2004 performance with the London Symphony Orchestra directed by Colin Davis).
I recently discovered the piano and violin version of this, rather than the full orchestral version. It's much more intimate and would be my choice for a more soothing experience. The orchestral version is so emotional for me, that sometimes I wouldn't be able to describe it as soothing.
Lullaby by Shawn Mullins. Heard it at a special time - I don't remember the event anymore but I do get intense feelings of comfort and calm whenever I hear it.
Time After Time - Cyndi Lauper.
Yes, I'm old.
But it does depend what kind of mood I'm in, and what kind of soothing I need.
In some cases: Chaser EP - Femtanyl.
Sometimes if I'm stressed I play guitar and something I quite often play is Time After Time!
If you played Femtanyl, I'd be really impressed :D
SLAYER Killing Fields

The album August and Everything After by Counting Crows.
It is such a perfect album. My personal favorite closely followed by Recovering the satellites.

MGMT - Little Dark Age
Don't know why - Norah Jones

It has a fast beat, but mellow, repetitive feel, so it's fast enough to catch my speeding thoughts and pull them down.
KLF's Chillout does it for me everytime.
