You see it's wrong, which means you're not beyond help. It's a big thing to admit to anyone, but please, don't let that stop you from seeking professional help. I'm not saying I know all about this topic, but I used to know similar people, and looked into the topic topically.. therapy, start there. The thoughts may never go away, but you may be able to learn how to live with them and never act on them again.

As an EFL (English as a Foreign language) teacher with a learning disability I'd argue that as long as your brain is working and you feel like you've benefited in some way, then yes, audio books are as good as reading. Audiobooks actually can be more beneficial than reading for some people too, like if they have a learning disability or are functionally/illerate then at least they are still reaping most of the same benefits.

I walk into the craft store and get so nervous about touching the stock (I live abroad so customs are different here) because I don't want to look rude and mess up how nice eceything looks so I just hand them the label with a sample of yarn attached without even looking. Usually if I just looked for five seconds I'd find it.

Sometimes we outgrow friends and it doesn't even occur to us to say goodbye or that it even bothers the ones we leave behind.

I actually learned about this? They took out PlayPlaces/stopped building new McD's with them because they're real germ traps because they're so hard to clean. They implemented them to keep customers lingering longer- kid wants to play? You don't want to hear them yelling and screaming if you don't let them, and it gives Parents a few minutes where they don't have to deal with their kid themselves.
Also, the buildings are being constructed more square and bland and boring now but I can't for the life of me remember WHY.
I do know that where I live right now (Arab country) ours still have PlayPlaces buuuut.. the buildings themselves are more boring to look at.
Personally, the only good thing about that place is their ice cream, we actually have working softserve machines any McD's we go to here (they probably don't care about the cleanliness as much as other places, hence the still standing PlayPlaces 😂).

I can't imagine this but I know it happens because my Sister is now that type of person as far as I'm aware.
We grew up watching our Dad fix E V E R Y T H I N G so we learned so very basic things, but we ended up taking different paths because she moved into places where maintanence was provided and I grew up without that. We both ended up basically poor, so I had to learn to either make due if I didn't know how to fix something or to jerry-rig up a solution.
Old Partner:"The sink stinks" Me: "That's because you won't get me a grabby claw thingy and some (Drain-O)"
Still, even when I can't fix something I can't just lie down and accept it, I need to at least TRY.
Me a minute later because I can't help but give every detail: "I tried getting as much out as I could with a pair of tweezers and i got a gross bit out but I could only do so much"

Bro I really do appreciate people with a mindset like yours. It takes a special kind of fella to write your heart out o…
I do it because everybody deserves knowledge! I have knowledge that people around me may not have, same as they probably have some that I don't! We have to help each other as much as possible, I wouldn't be me if I didn't try.
Also, I like Spyke, I want it to work out in the long run, so I contribute more here than I usually would in other places.

I was learning Arabic and had an native speaker watching over my shoulder the whole time to make sure I was understanding why the answers were what they were. 10× more helpful having a native speaker to fill in those gaps.
I learned hardly anything from DuoLingo, I learned more from being directly spoken to daily by natives- but not in the normal way lol most people can just jump in and learn, I need it drip fed to me.
