So roughly a decade age (maybe some more or less years) there was a high profile case. There were pictures of some shithole at war with its military using swiss armour and weapons and hand grenades.

This of course caused our left political parties to go into a REEEEE overdrive and they made an initiative.

It was pretty simple, switzerland will no longer be allowed to sell weapons to countries at war (we never did that as far as i know) as well as a mandatory clause that prohibits buyers to sell/give our gear to countries at war. This got passed and we held a public vote, and it was accepted and incorporated into swiss law. Now the left is REEEEing because we follow the actual law they came up with that the swiss people accepted.
