Had a bad experience with calling the police for some people partying opposite my house. I did not want to get my identity revealed so I did not say who exactly it was. Not only did the police not do shit, but once they reached the location the people making the noise convinced the cops to call whoever made the complaint.

Fortunately I switched off my phone after receiving the first call.

Tldr don't call the fucking police in India unless it is a life or death situation.

Do not call the police. This is not America, the cops here will try to screw your case one way or another. Talk to them directly or talk to your landlord. Apparments have monthly meetings right? You can discuss about the situation.

Talk to your neighbors directly first. if that doesn’t work, talk to you other neighbors who also may be being disturbed by the noise if that doesn’t work, complain to property management. If literally nothing else works, try creatively fucking with them or annoying them back. Finally, if nothing works, just fight them /s (kind of).

Whatever you do, don’t call police. Unless your life is under threat or you are being stolen from, calling police is for the lowest of the low. You don’t sound like a cowardly book licker. Don’t become one.

Do they seem like gundas? If yes, don't hesitate and let the police know. Maybe explain that you are a girl and don't want to be involved. Hopefully they'll understand. In some places they have special female police patrols that roam in pink cars. If that's an option then you should request them specifically. Don't worry it's probably not as bad as you think. I'm sure those neighbor's will understand.
