I miss phones with projectors

When it first launched, I thought the concept of a smartphone projector was a game-changer. The capability of beaming videos, games, or live footages from events directly onto a wall, effectively transforming your room into a mini-theater, seemed like such an innovative idea. It was tailored for movie nights and impromptu gatherings with friends and family...

It seems like the appeal failed to translate into the mass popularity I envisioned.

Several factors might have influenced this lukewarm reception. While an intriguing concept, the quality of the projection wasn't as great as you'd expect from 4K televisions or higher end projectors, making the novelty wear off quickly. Yet, was that the only reason? Or perhaps, the technology that permits us to use our sleek 4K TVs as an alternate phone screen evolved much faster than we anticipated, rendering the smartphone projector a tad obsolete. Not to mention the phones themselves had to get rather bulky to accomodate the darn projector.

Interviewing for a senior dev is just getting harder now a days in my experience

Recently we were doing interview rounds for a senior developer role.

A 4 year experienced candidate explained exactly how they would fix a data warehouse problem for recommending content.

Youd think he was an experienced dev based off his response.

Turns out due to the wild amount of resources available on leetcode, cfg etc he was already exposed to a whole plethora of questions.

Problem is when dealing with brand new problems how would they go about solving it? In my experience that's become a lot harder to deal with.

Meanwhile a candidate we interviewed with 9 yoe could hardly even begin to solve the same problem.
