I wouldn't know the first thing about running a script like that, but Cyprus and Russia would also fit.

Men in pink collar positions, what's your experience?

teaching
There's some nuance to this one, but you basically bring up the gist of it. Early childhood education and elementary school are predominantly taught by women because it is seen as an extension of maternal roles, but higher level education does become more of an even gender mix, up until it becomes somewhat patriarchal in some post secondary institutions.
It's not nearly as bad relative to other fields, but I'm reminded of the traditional gender split in culinary positions that has only more recently started changing, where women are expected to be home cooks, but only men are chefs.

What is your favourite gaming console you have played?
Gamecube probably holds the most special place in my heart. More for the games that released for it than for the console itself.

What's funny is you don't even really need the bar. It was officially called the sensor bar, but it's a misnomer because the sensors are in the Wiimotes. The bar is just a pair of IR emitters.
Anything that emits light on the infrared spectrum can be used instead. One "hack" is to use two lit candles spaced a bit apart. Around the holidays, you can just use a Christmas tree. Or on a good day, you can even sometimes use this magical thing called the sun (though its position won't be static).
You could also buy two IR LEDs and stick them in a 3D printed frame for a DIY solution (or just tape them to a stick). It's definitely the least critical component of a Wii to have to replace.

It was definitely the most portable console. Made it very easy to just throw it in a backpack and bring to friends' places for Smash Bros nights.

Yes.
Not very, for a few reasons.
You are probably under anesthesia.
They are usually pretty small.
The nerve endings in your gut don't register pain like your skin and muscles do. It registers more as mild discomfort.

they simply won't cut...the doners themselves.
Oh my god, that's it. That's the solution.
This entire time, we just left the doner spinning away instead of slicing it into the delicious kebab it was made to be.

[META] Should AI disclosure tags [AI], [NOT AI] be mandated when sharing projects?
Reply in thread
Agreed. "Failed to disclose" isn't condemned as harshly as "Blatantly lied", even if it should be. So obfuscating a project's AI usage may be seen as less risky than being upfront about it.
A responsibly transparent project should advertise itself as AI-free if it truly is.

Why has it became usual business for shows people like getting canceled after one season? They don't even have time to flesh out a decent story? Why not let them have at least 3?

If this article from Variety is to be believed, Game of Thrones experienced viewer growth each season.
https://variety.com/2022/tv/news/euphoria-season-2-finale-ratings-1235192015/
It did start strong, almost 10 million viewers is great, but the final season apparently had close to 5x as many.
I'd probably credit that to Game of Thrones becoming a cultural sensation. People became interested the more they heard other people talk about it. It bled into "normie" spaces instead of staying niche.

Just for some comparison, wireless Xbox 360 controllers sold in 2006 for US $50, PS3 controllers slightly more, and Wiimotes as low as US $40 (without nunchuck/motionplus).
PS4 controllers were $60, Xbox One controllers were slightly less, and Switch pro controllers were $50 (more comparable than comparing to Joycons).
Now Dualsense controllers for PS5 are $75, Xbox Series controllers are $65, and Switch 2 pro controllers are $90(!!).
US $1 in 2006 is the equivalent of $1.60 today when adjusted for inflation, so that $50 Xbox 360 controller at launch would come to $80 now. Not that those figures necessarily translate into buying power, but it does seem that (Nintendo aside), the price is keeping pace or just shy of inflation.
Nintendo's sharp jump from the cheapest to most expensive option is likely factoring in inflation with anticipated tariff adjustments during the console's launch...which they'll never walk back even with the scary numbers gone.

U.S. tech megacaps slide as SpaceX extends slump, AI expense concerns grow

it makes no sense to me that anyone would buy into SpaceX.
Index funds, mainly. The thing about index funds, though, is that they incorporate investments with little to no consideration of the product a given company makes. They just play a meta-game in the market itself with its own rules and conditions, and become attractive investments for portfolios looking for steady, "safe" growth.
