Bazzite Auto Updates

Reply in thread

Also, not all versions update the same way. e.g.: bazzite-deck vs bazzite have different update mechanisms. Again, docs.

I've been ~2.5 years on the same Bazzite install. I Freaking love it. Best computing experience I ever had. I don't do or learn anything and it just keeps on working perfectly since the day I installed it. Pure Bliss.

Valve is working with Intel, AMD, and Nvidia to make SteamOS run on any PC hardware

Reply in thread

Don't forget the massive heatsink (which translates to silence) and the controller puck inside of the case which all adds to the living room experience.

This thing is priced perfectly. It's just that hardware is expensive, and this thing has it all.

What the reactions have made clear is that people just value raw power, at least on paper.

I wonder if any of the critics ever tried putting a chunky loud PC with a dongle hanging out near their living room TV.

Sonic Game Recomendation?

I collect them all, however none of the 3D ones are particularly gratifying for me. I enjoyed Sonic Mania. I also really wanted to like the one which is 2.5D 4 player coop, however it has some very serious balancing issues. The difficulty is all over the place.

Moving to Fedora? How stable is it?

All I have are Fedora based machines running Bazzite & Aurora. That's been the case since the distros were originally released about 2+ years or so. Same install. No issues ever. A whole family of 4 running perfectly working Fedora based PCs with no issues and no maintenance whatsoever. I don't do crap and they just keep working perfectly. No complaints, all praise. My family doesn't even know it's not butter Windows, I mean I told them, they just don't care... it works and it gets the job done.

If that's not stable, then I don't know the meaning of the word.

/home should have all your stuff, just copy that to the new installation and you're set.
