The house always wins

Monopoly was originally called "The Landlord's Game" and it was invented by a woman in 1903.

It was meant to illustrate the dangers of unchecked capitalism.

Then it was stolen by a man and turned into the game we know today.

TIL The location of the G-spot is typically reported as being about 50 to 80 mm (2.0 to 3.1 in) inside the vagina, on the front wall

The existence of the G-spot as a distinct structure has not been proven, nor has the source of female ejaculation.[4][5] Although it has been studied since the 1940s,[2] disagreement persists over its definition and location.[4][6][7] The G-spot may be an extension of the clitoris, which may be the actual cause of vaginal orgasms.[7][8][9] Sexologists and other researchers are concerned that women may consider themselves to be dysfunctional if they do not experience G-spot stimulation, and emphasize that not experiencing it is normal.[5]

The lack of study of women's anatomy is abysmal.

The clitoris wasn't fully anatomically described until 2005.

We appreciate her

Another woman gave her an easy out if she wanted to take it - that's all. The woman didn't accuse the man directly of anything and she apparently left them alone once the offer was refused.

It's bad that it is so commonplace for this to happen that women feel the need to look out for one another in this way. I wish it wasn't the way the world is, but it is and it's not bad to try to protect each other.

You're not smart. You're not helping. You're paranoid weirdos.

Do you often express this sentiment to women trying to avoid being sexually assaulted and raped?

Court restricts abortion access across the US by blocking the mailing of mifepristone

Reply in thread

A federal appeals court has restricted access to one of the most common means of abortion in the U.S. by blocking mailing of prescriptions of mifepristone.

A panel of the New Orleans-based 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is requiring that the abortion pill be distributed only in person at clinics.

“Every abortion facilitated by FDA’s action cancels Louisiana’s ban on medical abortions and undermines its policy that ‘every unborn child is human being from the moment of conception and is, therefore, a legal person,’” the ruling states.

Pretty much. It's the 5th circuit being assholes again.

SNAP benefits don't pay for rotisserie chicken. A bipartisan bill might change that

The SNAP program provides a monthly stipend for low-income families to buy groceries, but it doesn't pay for hot prepared foods. The exclusion, which dates back decades, was meant to promote home cooking. But critics say it's outdated and penalizes families that are already struggling to make ends meet, excluding convenient and nutritious options.

SNAP is a major piece of the U.S. social safety net used by nearly 42 million, or about 1 in 8, Americans to help buy groceries. On average, the monthly benefit per household is about $350, and the average benefit per person is about $190.

It's so short-sighted to exclude hot prepared foods from SNAP. So many people don't have time and consistent access to kitchens where they can cook every meal. I hope this passes.

Completely agree. Self reflection, even if it doesn't lead to different conclusions, is highly beneficial and should be encouraged regardless of perceived gender or sexual orientation.

The world would be a bit better if we all had more introspection.

It really do be like that

Had a middle-aged coworker that I carpooled with occasionally when I was younger. Totally chill for the most part, we left early in the morning and generally just listened to the radio quietly.

He offered to get me coffee while we were on the road one day. Pulled into a bikini barista drive-thru. The gal working asked if I was his daughter.

I didn’t carpool with him after that lol
