Politics is the inevitable outcome of humans interacting with each other in groups. Once you get past the 2 person mark politics start to form, mind you it's not the grand systems one may think of but it is politics.

Probably a statement of non recognition of the feds by most states and a cutting off of interactions with the feds.

I'm aware but there are still ways to if not counter then dilute the ability for said connection, thick enough curtains for example or even a battery powered surge protector for example. But rarely are such things needed, you've basically got to get to Soviet vs US levels of bullshit spycraft to do that. Mind you Ilhan Omar should probably be factoring that in but it's probably not priority.

Sometimes you will also see extended familial/clan networks help out but even that grows weaker amongst kin due to well everything going on. Look I don't like the idea of having non-scientific infrastructure in space now imagine my feelings on it being privately owned. Also I legitimately can't see Elon Musk as human at this point, it's firmly and irrevocably within the sacrifice fodder category in my mind. I'd also say we need more old school hackers and restorers, that is to say folks who can work on hardware. It may be illegal to crack some code but physically gutting something to spoof, hotwire, or bypass their shit software through entirely physical means works as a better long term method. Restoration and maintenance of old tech is a lot easier, half the time something is broken it's either just a wire or the power being bad.
