Is this good

The issue is pressure buildup. You're fermenting and generating more CO2 than can escape the capacity of your valve. You could take the plug out, remove the valve from the plug, put a tube in so it isn't into the brew liquid, and put the other end in a bucket of water so the end is always under water. Here's an example, I just got this off the Internet because I didn't have any pictures from doing this myself, but I've done this.

The bank wins again

I am older, and don't think I need any accommodations or help, so I didn't think a full evaluation would be of any value. I took some online tests, and chatted with other autistic people, and determined I'm autistic. I'm seeing a counselor figuring out what is in me due to being autistic, and what am I masking. Focusing on discovering and understanding. This path has revealed things in relationship with my wife, we have a better understanding of our differences.

Formal diagnosis pros and cons?

I would say if your child might need accommodations at school or other activities, then you will most likely need a formal diagnosis. My son had ADHD, and his formal diagnosis allowed us to get him accommodations at school. These were small things, but they helped him pay attention better, be less distracted and less distracting.

Mini, spoiler free review of *Gateway*, by Frederick Pohl

I read these a long time ago, but remember the stories. He lived in the same town when I live. I went to some local sci-fi fair and he was there. He had no qualms about signing old copies of his books, so I have several signed copies. I was getting his signature on a new book (on the 90s) and he asked the title. I said Homecoming. He asked my up look at the book and it was Homegoing. I think he enjoyed people not really knowing the title.

Thanks for sharing ask these intimate details, your sister, you recent involvements. I think the clubs and socializing can be difficult, especially where you don't feel you fit in. If you can identify your interests and connect with people in some small group around that, it can help in more than just that activity and socializing. You can make connections, friends even, and find a little bit of a place in community. I look back at my life of trying to fit in, and difficulties with that, and still have. But I've noticed benefits in community where there is some commonality. My wife suggests another connection possibility, since I've become so interested in watercolor painting. I've been looking for some group or class to join others in painting. I think the conversation with your sister is good, and I probably need to do the same with my brother, but I'm not sure where to start.

A Gen Xer's Thoughts on Strange New Worlds

Biggest thing about Strange New Worlds is it isn't trying to be too much, like Discovery. Discovery seemed to want to project an agenda. Strange tells an episodic story, with a little more overarching story, but not too much, enjoyable. In that regard it harkens back to the original Star Trek. I enjoy single stories encapsulated in individual episodes, and not a lot of pushing hard on some agenda.

What are some of your quirks?

Counting steps in 4s on same surfaces, keep even-evens (2 steps each foot, 4 total) on the same surface. Watch ahead to know I'll need to adjust steps when surface is going to change to keep to the 4 steps counts. I don't like stepping on those bumpy surfaces at crosswalks that are indicators for blind people. I step over those.
