Been back in game for 3 months - Excited!

Like many comments I've seen, I was disillusioned when they established the subclassing. I left not long after it started. I was bummed at the time because I really felt they were doing well with best parts of a good MMO for me.

So I took a 3-4 year break and after the failure that was Midnight (Blizzard's latest WoW expansion) I was disillusioned again so I came back to see how ESO was doing.

Here's what I was surprised to find and really enjoy:

-Subclassing has somewhat stabilized and does offer some opportunities to improve an existing build without having to spend a lot of time or gold establishing it.

-The daily giveaway has been replaced with a system that is less dependent upon logging in every single day, and you get currency for things you can buy and can SELECT what you earn for your time rather than having endless potions foisted upon you.

-Class revamps are happening and the improvements made to the DK are really fun. Obviously imbalancing to some degree but they seem to be making positive progress.

-Coming very soon if you insist on pure classing you get a bonus passive line which makes not subclassing a little more rewarding. Honestly this is 60% of what factored into my resubscribing.

-Lastly we're finishing up a new event called the Night Market which has done a pretty good job encouraging grouping and it seems like people are more open to grouping than have been in the past.

I feel like there's more people actually playing than hanging out now which seems more vibrant in the game.

What’s the news in Venezuela?

Since the US operation in Venezuela, I haven’t seen a whole lot of media about what’s happening in the absence of Maduro. Every once in a while, an article pops up, which I have to assume is the one we are meant to see here in the US. I’d be very interested to know what is actually going on there now.

Are there any reliable news sources for the current state of Venezuela?

Couples: Your Toothbrush

Had a hilarious moment and discussion which made me wonder how others feel about it. My partner and I share a sonicare but have our own heads we swap out.

I come out of the shower as she finishes brushed teeth and I notice she’s using my head. I smirk and say that’s my toothbrush.

She does a double take and says “not only is it yours but I absentmindedly removed mine to put yours on it!”

We laughed and discussed how much we already share and it’s probably not a big deal.

Then I admitted “well I get up way before you most mornings and I’ve accidentally used yours a couple times. She feigned shock and I said “when I do, I quickly rinse it thoroughly with hot water and put it back.”

Lighthearted morning so far. Have you confessed to using a partner’s toothbrush? How did that go?

Still alive…

Hey man, I just wanted to let you know that there’s someone still out here keeping it real here on Lemmy.

If you see a cool TBL meme, art, or just have something Dudely to say, just chime in with a post or even a reply. I can repost it if you want, or we can let it sit here in the comments.

These times are not as dark as a black steer’s tookus on a moonless night. Dudeism is keeping the light on.

Happy InDudependence day!

Happy InDudependence day dudes. While Americans observe this day to celebrate their victory over their British overlords, Dudeists use this holiday to affirm their psychological independence from any powers-that-be. Slavishly following any cause, flag or ideology (including that of Dudeism) is dangerous and hampers personal growth. Our indudependence brings us together.

“He who doesn’t remember much from college, Learns to live on his allowance.

He who digs Dudeism deeply,

Does not become a fucking fascist.

Dudeists follow 2500 years of beautiful tradition,

Pooling resources, flowing far, freeing spirits.

Cultivate love in the true sense of the word,

And you won’t need to scam anyone here.

Care about the rug in your residence,

And it will tie everything together.

Create camaraderie among the bowling team,

And you’ll enter the next round robin.

Fit right in to your time and place,

And you’ll be in a unique position.

Therefore:
Know a residence by its renter,
Know a bowler by its team,
Know a team by its league,
Know a league by its lanes,
Know the lanes by its location,
Know a location by loving it, in the true sense of the word.

How can I enter a world of no-pain?
By loving the world,
Even when it’s full of goddamn morons.”

dudeism - Lemmy.world - A place to Abide

Sometimes there's a community, well, a community for its time and place. I have to tell ya, we fit right in here.

Dudeism

If you don't know about Dudeism, and I know a good many don't. It is a good community to learn a bit about Dudeism, reflect on a fine piece of cinema called The Big Lebowski, or just try and abide with all us sinners.

I won't keep ya, there's plenty going on so I hope you'll think about visiting.

Take it easy Dude.
