I'm pretty much out of ESO for good, unless something changes. Figured I'd put this up in case anyone is wanting to take the sub over!

Like many comments I've seen, I was disillusioned when they established the subclassing. I left not long after it started. I was bummed at the time because I really felt they were doing well with best parts of a good MMO for me.

So I took a 3-4 year break and after the failure that was Midnight (Blizzard's latest WoW expansion) I was disillusioned again so I came back to see how ESO was doing.

Here's what I was surprised to find and really enjoy:

-Subclassing has somewhat stabilized and does offer some opportunities to improve an existing build without having to spend a lot of time or gold establishing it.

-The daily giveaway has been replaced with a system that is less dependent upon logging in every single day, and you get currency for things you can buy and can SELECT what you earn for your time rather than having endless potions foisted upon you.

-Class revamps are happening and the improvements made to the DK are really fun. Obviously imbalancing to some degree but they seem to be making positive progress.

-Coming very soon if you insist on pure classing you get a bonus passive line which makes not subclassing a little more rewarding. Honestly this is 60% of what factored into my resubscribing.

-Lastly we're finishing up a new event called the Night Market which has done a pretty good job encouraging grouping and it seems like people are more open to grouping than have been in the past.

I feel like there's more people actually playing than hanging out now which seems more vibrant in the game.

Not sure if I'm allowed to shamelessly promote my addon here but I'm kinda proud of it. This addon provides a HUD that shows group members' positions and health, a big arrow that points to your group leader (or anyone else in your group), and a wide variety of PvE and other addon map locations.

Really nice guide on new campaign that's up, changes restrictions, and all class moves listed in one place.

I've been enjoying it so far, but I'm not trying to grind out things like many are! I've gotten some nice stuff from the reward boxes, and I'm one piece away from the Lion Guard outfit. I did try some fishing too, but at this point I don't think it's for me.

The XP boost is definitely helping me, I got my character leveled up above cp160 in very little time! Now that I can start getting armor sets put together it'll be fun to see what I can get.

It's been a lot of fun to explore more of the massive amount of content that's in the game.

I created a new character (the Khajit in the picture) to play the Aldmeri Dominion story, and I've been making good progress. I already had a Nord to do the Pact story, so once I finish the Dominion line I'm thinking I may create a Breton or Orc to finish all three out.

On a side note, are there any guild recommendations for a casual player that mainly does story content? I like to join in if I'm near a dolmen and I'll help players with world bosses, but I don't do much with other players other than that. Would there be a lot of benefits to joining one?

Will be trying to update this with each week's PTS notes, but we'll see how that works out.

Big news with this is the simplified Cyrodiil skills and sets running during the 2nd week of PTS cycle. I will definitely be making sure I have PTS stuff live in my PC just to see what it's like; 2400 CP on console, and never even hit level 30 on PC lol. Anything for a Cyrodiil meta change man, shits tragic right now.
