‘Getting no help’: Thousands in Gary, Indiana, still without power nearly 2 weeks after storms

Reply in thread

That is the question you care about most when talking about an entire city without power for nearly two weeks? What the fuck?

So what if they ALL voted for it? Yeah fuck em, they are getting what they all asked for!!!!! I get the feeling totally, you are allowed to feel superior for like 5 minutes.... but then you have to get over it and treat this as an unfolding human rights crisis!

Also, why the fuck didn’t the Biden administration deal with the fucked up board that manages postal leadership? The national party has all the heat for progressive Democrats trying to displace incumbent dinosaurs but regularly fumbles the ball on important shit.

...because the only way things could have collapsed this badly was if a truly incompetent and illsuited status quo managing sunsetting old man who had a hand in creating all of the problems that are coming home to roost now was president right after and before a fascist was put in power.

I am not sure there is really any other way to let the fire get so damn out of control before the fire alarm was pulled.

You only understand the first level of dogs, you have barely scratched the surface.

I am a tri-dogwave entity that is composed of an oscillating, sentient waveform travelling from dog to dog through social cues, body language and pack awarness, each dog being obedient to the dog that is obedient to the dog that is obedient to them, the feedback effect functions as a generative three-body problem that provides the creative basis for intelligence and life.

French far-right leader Marine Le Pen polling at record high ahead of 2027 election

I don’t think it’s so much that they are different, it’s that people fear there won’t be enough for everyone.

Yes which is why immigrants are existentially necessary in societies both to provide an influx of younger people looking to find a new life and more abstractly immigrants are necessary to counteract the ingrown tendency of cultures to secrete themselves in their ways and resist change until they are obliterated.

The future requires change and adaption, which means to get to the future we must embrace what immigrants provide rather than keep tiptoeing around dehumanizing them as much as we can without saying it outright.

We have enough food, the starvation and suffering the world is experiencing right now is a feature not a bug.

If it’s Melenchon then things will be unpredictable as it’ll come down to who the centrists vote for - and there are plenty on the right who would never vote for Melenchon. However if shes against a centrist, then she’s more likely to lose even if they’re deeply unpopular now, because they’re the easier “anyone but Le Pen”.

Where is the evidence of this? This assumption proved catastrophic in US elections, Biden was an awful choice to run against Trump and so was Harris.
