Those of us who put time into answering your questions are not doing so just to serve your personal needs, we are here to help build a community knowledge base that others can search and reference.

This has become a chronic issue with Lemmy and its starting to feel like it's a waste of time to answer questions.

Many of the existing mods have become inactive and the Lemmy.world community team asked me to step in as an active member.

You should know because I need you to report rule violations. I've done my best to clean up the backlog and will be keeping an eye out.

I've never really sought out being a mod before, other than trying to start a more niche community or two. I'd appreciate a little grace while I try to navigate how to best provide this service to the community.

Whenever we see Kanar portrayed in the show it's always a thick viscous liquid for something most humans would consider a drink. But it occurred to me that the vast majority of the times we see it, it's not in the normal Cardassian environment. Cardassians like it much warmer than Humans and Bajorans. Would Kanar be less viscous on Cardasia than we see it on DS9? Even most instances when we see it on Cardassia, the founder is very sick and demanding the temperature be turned down in the facility.

You should know that there are a large number of tutorials online for ways to make a handheld EMP (electromagnetic pulse).
