System76 on Age Verification Laws

Should this method of age attestation become the standard, apps and websites will not assume liability when a signal is not provided and assume the lowest age bracket. Any Linux distribution that does not provide an age bracket signal will result in a nerfed internet for their users

Fuck just as I commented yesterday about this BS entering Linux kernel, it can become new reality

It's real shocking how long some folks keep denying the possibility of being trans. I see that kind of posts all the time.

Similar post in terms of sexuality is "I found some man attractive", "I just like the D, not man" but always puts "but I'm not gay" at the end.

Internalized phobia is real. SMH

Lol I have similar story. Met someone from my university course 10 yrs ago recently at sports hobby group. Asked if he took this course at the university.

He was shocked and asked: "wtf how did u know?" "I was there too" "But I don't know (or recognize) u"

Guess I pass as my gender? It gave me euphoria haha. I didn't tell him my deadname tho

On Using AI For Commercial Uses

I think this problem will get worse because many websites that's used for "your own research" will lose human traffic to watch ads and more bots just scraping their data, reducing motivation to keep the websites running. Most people just take the least resistant path so AI search will be the default soon I think

Yes, I hate this timeline
