ChatGPT will avoid being shut down in some life-threatening scenarios, former OpenAI researcher claims

I hate articles like this so much. ChatGPT is not sentient, it doesn't feel, it doesn't have thoughts. It has regurgitation and hallucinations.

They even had another stupid article linked about "AI blackmailing developers, when they try to turn it off." No, an LLM participates in a roleplay session that testers come up with.

It's articles like this that makes my family think that LLMs are reasoning and intelligent "beings". Fuck off.

And seeing as it's his grandkid, he can even just say, "Ask your parents.", if he wants to be a real coward about it.

smh, why does it have to be everyone else's problem that people don't want to talk to their (grand)kids?

Anon's best friend is a repper

Start talking about our types in women (im a jeep, im sorry)

I'm guessing the "jeep" is slang for lesbian? I'm familiar with the U-Haul and Subaru tropes, but I've never heard anyone call themselves a jeep before, and my search efforts are falling me. Can anyone explain it?

Where did the info on him being a Navy veteran and voting for Trump come from? I didn't see that in the article or hear it in the video.

I'll never forget when my girlfriend introduced me to Lao Gan Ma crispy chili in oil. Honestly salivating a little just by thinking of it right now. I ate it just about every day for a week, after first trying it. And the smell! Absolutely divine. I do need to keep it wrapped in 3 bags though, for it not to smell up the entire fridge, haha.

Allow me to introduce myself ;)

I quit smoking 9 years ago, because it was getting too expensive. Which definitely made it harder for me to quit, because I didn't stop because I wanted to. Back then prices for the brand I bought were "only" at 4.69 euro / 5.48 usd, but I knew it was only going to get worse from there. Now they're at 8.04 eur / 9.40 usd, and I'm so happy I quit, but even more so because of my health, which I didn't care about back then.

EDIT: Just checked, and it was actually 9 years ago, not 8.
