Yea I have to agree I hate this "moderated LLM use good" stance. I have used LLMs (through private browser windows without login) to understand documentation before, or to get a usage example for a specific function, and I already feel dirty for it. I will absolutely not use that snake oil to generate code for me or even consider installing anything on my hardware.

1. he doesn't "support" LLMs yet, he tolerates some uses
2. he's also getting older, and if the past decades have shown anything is that brain rot can happen to anyone - and just because someone was based in the past, doesn't mean they are going to have a solid moral compass forever

Let me rephrase: labeling machine learning on a massive scale with insane amount of damage to society and environment as "AI" is a trait almoat exclusively seen in the same people who promote racist, classist, sexist or otherwise divisive ideas. As a German, I think

1. adding contracts with Russia to lessen dependency on the US at the time it was done was a good idea
2. the way it was done, specifically with the Nordstream pipelines was incredibly corrupt and lots of people should be in prison for that, including Gas-Gerd
3. it's very likely Ukraine did destroy the pipeline
4. if so, the US absolutely helped them in their own best interest
5. I don't blame Ukraine at all - it's a legitimate military target to cut off the streams of revenue used by Russia to murder Ukrainians
6. the German government is too chicken-shit to call out the US on any possible involvement
7. the German government is corrupt as fuck and therefore will prosecute Ukrainians involved in a show trial to justify paying reparations to the affected fossil fuel industry in Germany out of the pockets of the German tax payers
8. • if true as reported - that the 2nd Ukrainian national who was allegedly arrested while consulting a US firm on a movie production about the pipeline destruction is a moron for that last bit and I have no sympathies for them
