melatoninly-challenged

You know they sell supplements for that right?

Yeah i looked it up expecting it to turn out to be definitely a placebo, but seems like it might be plausible, but i couldn't be bothered looking up if there's been any independent trials yet...

Do you mean melanin? Melatonin helps you sleep. Maybe being prospects affects REM or something

I'm all for making fun of the phrase "cultural appropriation" until it becomes irrelevant.

Ooooh, you must the white man who's confidently wrong and using reddit as your primary source, well played!

Edit: the threadiverse sure loves to tell itself its progressive right up until it requires any internal work or self examination lol

It's possible to both be very progressive and also think the term cultural appropriation is generally misused to the point of being useless/meaningless & also cringe at race based humor.

Generally misused doesn't mean its not a meaningful pattern of harm. Loosing the ability to talk about that pattern of harm isnt a good thing, the term is useful even if people misuse it

I’ve probably seen 500 instances of accusations of appropriation and I’ve seen maybe 4-5 of that were were actually real appropriation and real harm.

It’s an internet buzzword. The pattern is real but the internet zeitgeist around it is rage bait BS.
