You don’t have to. Genres exist for a reason.

Do you also complain about every book genre, movie genre, music genre, etcetera that isn’t your cup of tea?

Biden’s weak old ass pardons people that don’t need one but appointed useless Merrick Garland as attorney general. I am tired of all the weak centrist Democrats doing nothing but performative useless shit and letting all the Republicans tax cuts stay.

A pardon is an admittance of criminality and guilt.

They should’ve treated as criminals until they make amends to society.

I fully agree that the pardon power should not be a get out of jail card for criminals.

It’s Saturday which means there’s already too much booze in me but I want a robust system that would filter out political reward pardons, wealth/personal connection pardons and any pardon that happens only because the party giving the pardon benefitted from the crime.

Also, expand SCOTUS to take away the federalist foundation’s control over the American judiciary.

Republicans have been using the pardon power to reward their political operatives from the crimes they did to help their political party.

Fascists are exploiting our laws to destroy our democracy.

Pretty much every studio making live service trash claimed that it was 100% their decision and that it was the game they always wanted to make since they were a little baby.

Nah, the real petition was the last game.

BioWare hasn’t shown that it has the talent to make quality AAA RPGs in almost 20 years.

Maybe they should have made some lower budget games to give their less experienced developers some much needed feedback and practice in their craft.

Also, their writing has been absolute trash for over 10 years. I’m not sure if their writers even know what good writing is.

I think it means that you chop someone to pieces in front of the family and friends just to make a point.

Also, there’s lots of rape and murder and Catholics and white religious people will always defend you.

I don’t see any of their writing in the last decade as anything but tired tropes and juvenile simplistic plots and characters.

Elden Ring’s item descriptions have more depth and character than BioWare’s characters that have endless mind numbing dialogue. I could say the same about the plot.

The company founders left over a decade ago. They weren’t perfect but whatever was left was just IP and not ability.

If the writing needs better direction to write a good story then the writers are not good. Also, 2023 is way past their good old days.

BioWare was good but they always seemed to push more and more into a casual audience while expecting the RPG fanbase to stick around no matter what. They took the RPG fans for granted and now they have other developers to care about.

Dragon Age never got a true gameplay sequel. They didn’t waste a second abandoning that genre in favor of dumbed down throwaway games. I was so pissed off for buying Inquisition on day one after the universal acclaim it got in the press. Absolutely boring fetch quest trash.

I’m so tired of rotten tomatoes and their stupid online scoring system.

That’s why I mention the writing.

That’s separate from gameplay and level design.

Investors don’t care what customers want. Investors want the new generation of customers that have zero concept of media ownership to never have a chance to have ownership.

Can ballistic missiles also find me a good pozole recipe without having to view 100 horrendous difficult to follow websites or even worse apps?

I’m guessing those new owners don’t appreciate stories where gay characters are treated with respect.

AI is just a tool. A tool is only bad in how it is used.

AI companies like trying to pretend that it’s the solution to everything and that it is true intelligence. It is not.

AI companies absolutely did massive copyright infringement in building their models and the people involved should face the same penalties that a pirate business would.

There’s Divinity Original Sin 2 from the same developer. It doesn’t use the DnD system like BG3 but it’s very good.

Baldurs Bate 3 is turn based strategy with great writing.

Anyone that cared about RPGs was pushed out by greedy losers.

Keeping Texas Republican seems to be an existential crisis for conservatives and fascists.

A good amount of people seem to have woken up to the fact that Republicans are in charge of everything and everything is getting worse every day.
