Funny enough, bricks do that.

How do I get a job as a crossroads witch or other entity that offers magical deals in exchange for a terrible price?
I can tell you how to do it, But it’ll cost you. And not money either.

Who could have seen it coming?
Real talk for a moment, there isn’t a system alive that currently solves the supply chain attack issue. there’s a trade-off between usability, and security. You can be a secure as you want to be, all it takes is a small accident by one developer in a package that you’re using, even if they’re using gpg signing to accidentally upload A package that’s been tampered. It stinks, but that’s the reality. What I think should be applauded is the thoroughness that the arch developers are going through the repo right now trying to find these packages. I don’t know the specifics, but if they’re like other open source developers, they’re unpaid people doing this out of their love for the software and community. and more than likely, this is a headache on top of headaches that they already have that they’re doing for the love of the community.

"Is any criticism of the United States government a deportable offense?" DHS agent Troy Edgar refuses to answer during interview
I was listening to this one live, and it was great to hear somebody finally holding people to the fire. Unfortunately, it’s on NPR, which means none of the people who need to hear it are going to.

I honestly think that gng is one of the most punishing games ever created. The fact that you complete it (took me till adulthood with cheats) that it turns around and tell you to do it again to actually win, is one of the most evil things that the game could have done.

Animal shelters overflow as Americans dump 'pandemic puppies' in droves. They're too broke to keep their dogs

People who don't know what they are getting into, and as soon as they encounter a situation of their own creating... they bail because its hard. Pit bull owner (AST rescue mutt), they are not a beginner breed, they require ensuring that there is a hierarchy in the house and force an understanding of that. They are stubborn, hard headed, and amazing dogs (Tiptoe is a hurricane of tongues). We have a 6 yo at home, and I have to force his training and training for her. It's a lot of work, and most people are allergic to work when it becomes inconvenient to them.
Aggression is something that is there genetically and you have to work against it. Again that's work, but you will find that any dog that hasn't been traumatized (and some that have... again love my tip) leans naturally to happiness, not aggression.
Short answer is that people are awful, and because of that most of the time the dog suffers. That should be recognized for what it is.

Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker to suspend tax breaks offered to data centers
Reply in thread
For those not from Illinois, there is a very loud (also small) contingent from outside of Chicago who like to complaint that the entire state isn’t Chicago. They are usually republican and are mostly subsidized by the people who live in chicago paying taxes. They are deeply republican, and there is nothing that he or anyone else could do to make them happy. (Biggest tip off here is that he resorts to name calling and fox news talking points)
Is Pritzker perfect, no. But on the politician scale, he's one of the better ones…

Why console makers can legally brick your game console
While these kinds of "bricking" clauses haven't been tested in court, lawyers who spoke to Ars felt they would probably hold up to judicial review.
This is laughable at best, would 100% never go to court. The cost of losing would destroy so many models… and defending in it in the light of real consequences is going to make them popular… Ask the RIAA how suing customers made them look.
The threat of doing it is way more powerful.

Try telling that to someone who supported Bernie, but before you do that you might want to go back and refresh youself on what happened. The DNC is a diseased carcass, change isn't possible.

Equal under the law or something
Please get it out of your mind that there is anything here about justice… it’s not about justice, it’s about power. It always has been, the continued fake shock of this only continues to be unproductive whining. There is no one that is confused about this, there are those who see it for what it is and those who are willingly ignorant.
