I am seeing open racism more than ever on reddit.

It probably has something to do with the type of crowd that reddit promotes. More controversial takes probably get boosted more because they draw more eyes for more time. They're trying to copy Meta.

Do you feel sad for people born today?

We need more optimism, for sure. But I can't get my head around the idea that the new generation will be better than us.

The 70 years of relative stability has been exchanged by a few dickheads to make as much money over the expense of everyone as possible. Those people mean to keep it that way.

Even if I am being pessimistic, social media has made everything so depressing. We used to believe in continuous progress, we used to be excited about the future.

No, we have to funnel money to that lizard bot so he and his buddies can build their private bunkers because they know what they're doing is fucked up, but the money is too enticing.

The end of Stop Killing Games [Accursed Farms]

Hell, even a lot of PUBLISHERS would rather keep their games running forever.

This is such a shit take that publishers want games running forever. The whole reason they get shut down is because they don't make a profit and if something that's not earning them money might as well be something that's going to take gamers away from their new game. So they'll of course shut it down. It's in their incentive.

Your arguments seem very disingenuous.

Halo: Campaign Evolved | The Silent Cartographer Trailer

Reply in thread

This is a weirdo complaint but one thing I don't like that some modern games keep doing is adding a lot of visual/texture noise by having a lot of details.

Hard Agree!

More != Good.

The added texture details really take away from the reverent, almost divine nature of the ancient forerunner structures in the OG. Walking through them felt like entering an old dusty century home, where everything had been neatly packed and covered with white sheets. It felt like a place that hadn't been disturbed in a very very long time.

They also felt like they were made of advanced material technology.

I don't know If I am reading too much into something the original creators never intended, but the art direction itself feels very lacking. It's still too bright.

This just looks like halo infinite... Generic af. Not angry, people must have worked hard on it, but kind of disappointed.

Statement on Stop Killing Games - VIDEOGAMES EUROPE

Reply in thread

What do you mean?

Changing the design happens during the pre-production. This will not effect any games retroactively. As unfortunate as it is, until the EU parliament decides on a law or regulation all games destined to die will die.

Any games that are grandfathered in, would be done so by the good will of the corporations if they do wish to.
