Any dead franchises that can survive being rebooted?
I once asked what media franchises need to just stop, that have run their time. Now I want to know which ones DID stop, and could be restarted with new content.

My big one is that they need to stop asking why I applied for their company. The real answer is I want a new job, and I blasted out a hundred applications. I didn't choose your company specifically.
With the exception of D&D or Pathfinder, what games or systems would you like to see campaign notebooks for, and what would you like to see in them?
I've been looking at leasing a space for a potential business idea, but I wanted to see what others thought of it. What I'm thinking about is immersive play spaces. A tavern setup that looks like something out of a D&D game, or maybe a spaceport bar for those into SciFi games. Even thinking about a possible Cyberpunk styled bar. The idea is that they would be member driven with guest passes, and alcohol would be supply your own. What I'm asking is if one of these spaces was in your area, would you pay a nominal monthly fee? I'm thinking between $25 to $50 a month with five guest passes.
My favorite is when someone tells me that they are too old to learn about new technology, or that they can't use a device because they aren't very tech-y. No, you just refuse to learn.
It always feels like some form of VR tech comes out with some sort of fanfare and with a promise it will take over the world, but it never does.
For me, it's small business retail. Point-of-Sale systems, physical inventory management, the existing options are not built for smaller operations or are not good.
The past couple of years, the amount of kids out on Halloween has dwindled down in my neighborhood. This year, my wife and I were at her cousin's house and we saw maybe a couple of kids walking around. My wife blames people going to Trunk or Treat things. We both work in retail, so we see more of the public, and nobody was in costume. What was everybody's experience with Halloween this year?
I have a few: Star Wars, Star Trek, MCU.
I'm shouldn't have ice cream due to my Type 2 diabetes, but once in a while, I stop at Mc Donalds and get myself a McFlurry with M&M's. I get a bit sick later, but I find it worth it.
As I have been browsing RPG communities on Lemmy, Facebook, and Reddit, I have noticed some of the slang that I used to hear is not present much in these discussions. Now I know over time, slang and lingo do change, and I want to know more about your experiences in it. One of the terms I used to hear was "fish-malk", referring to players that take on a character to be goofy, silly, and "random". They were usually useless and made playing the game for the rest of the players rather difficult. So what lingo or slang terms are you using in your groups, or terms you just don't hear anymore?
I want to know what draws people to it and why keep consuming and making it? Especially since Pictures and videos aren't showing anything new except the people in it.

I was watching Knock Knock Knowing on Hootys Door and noticed the collector in Eda's dream and the scroll with the curse. Made me wonder, where did Lilith find the curse?
I was watching some RPG YouTube, and of course there was talk about Monsters. And with the recent OMG CONTROVERSY with the newest Monster Manual, I got to thinking about something that is more inherent in D&D and in fantasy games in general, why so many monsters? I've played various other games, and read many books, watched many movies, but it seems that fantasy games, with D&D leading the charge, seem to have more monsters than any other medium in the genre, or other genre's in particular. So yeah, why are there so many monsters?
In Ypsilanti Michigan during WW2, a film maker, Walter Pidgeon, found a girl working there named Rose Monroe. As the trend of Rosie the Riveter was taking off due to a recent hit song and Norman Rockwell doing a Rosie painting, he made a series of propaganda films with Rose. I'm looking for those films, as I am a volunteer for a museum that is on the old factory grounds. Any information on where I can find these films would be super helpful for our museum. Thanks all.
