Carney asks provinces to return U.S. alcohol to stores

Reply in thread

I don't know about people not purchasing. It may be the part of Canada I'm in, but USAian products aren't sitting on the shelves for as long and a lot of people have lost the care to avoid them if they ever did. A great example was last summer when USAian watermelons were rotting in the bins at grocery stores while Mexican and Canadian ones were selling quickly. This year I'm seeing people pick them up without a care. It doesn't help USAian companies are purposely hiding the origins and maple washing their products.

Plus, the uptick in Canadians travelling south of the border for non-work purposes means full acceptance and support for the USAian administration by those choosing to go to there.

I'm keeping up my boycott and always will. Those that don't boycott when they can afford to or simply don't care can be the first dealt with as traitors when the time inevitably comes.

Can you suggest a state-of-the-art AI-poisoning technique to safely publish a big amount of teaching materials?

I'm far from an expert so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. What I've been seeing is that poisoning is becoming less and effective since all the major models have such a large reference to go by they can automatically weed out "poisoned" information.

I guess if the information was completely unique and the subject wasn't found elsewhere on the internet you might have more success, at least temporarily until more information came out.

‘Buckling' beams at Manhattan high-rise under construction trigger mass evacuation

Not to defend developers, but to everyone bringing up cheap materials and assuming the developers were hoping to duck out before issues arose, if you read the article you'll see the building was a preexisting office building being converted to residential units. Not a new build.

The current renovations likely removed some needed support and the remaining structure couldn't handle it. Mistake (engineering calculation) or greed (removing more than stated to include more units) are both possible.

Wholesome sharks

He does say 'irrational' fear and it was during an ice breaker, I'd take it as wholesome since it wouldn't have been a really serious situation when it was revealed.

Possibility different if they had brought in real hammerhead sharks. Also, if he'd been attacked by a hammerhead shark, but being an irrational fear I'm guessing not.
