Owning the libs
Wouldn't that be getting rid of the libs?
I think this would be 'owning' the libs:
chown -R $(whoami) /usr/lib

One thing that I find useful is that you can do --filesync with an existing zip, which means it only updates the files if the date/size don't match. This saves a bunch of time on large archives that don't need to be created from scratch every time.

Why? People are already having sex with devices (vibrators, masturbators, real-dolls). I don't see why this is all that different

Yeah, it's almost like progressives aren't interested in identity politics, and stayed home when the supposedly-leftist party told them to shut up.

What do you think?
I still hate it. Sure, the economy under Trump is worse, but that doesn't mean the economy under Biden wasn't also terrible.

Why are you angry at them, rather than being angry at the candidate that ran a terrible campaign? Or the party that ran a terrible candidate?
I always find it telling when people get mad at those who fight against things like genocide, rather than getting mad at the people who fought for more genocide

SHOCK POLL: AOC a Close Second Place Behind Kamala Harris in 2028 Democratic Primary

Hillary won the popular vote. While yes, America does have a sexism problem, I don't think being a woman is that big of a problem for the candidates.
Being a terrible candidate who is insanely out of touch with Americans is the problem. They just need to run women who are willing to fight for what Americans want.

If the responsibility is being shelled out to "the algorithm", then doesn't that mean they have less responsibility? Shouldn't they be paid less if they have less responsibility?
Something tells me they won't see the logic in that though.

Obama is one of the most popular presidents in my lifetime. Hillary won the popular vote. The problem wasn't being a woman or a person of color, their problem was being shitty candidates that the public doesn't like, running terrible campaigns.

Nah, I'm not giving her a break. She handed the elction to Trump on a silver platter. It should have been a slam dunk election, but she chose genocide, money, and the Cheney's over winning.

I totally agree, and I never understood how adding a parasitic middle-man is supposed to make things cheaper.
"without it, we would have to pay out of pocket for ad supported services!"
Actually, I don't think we would for a lot of things. The internet existed long before it was advertising funded. Web-pages used to be things that people made because they were passionate about what they put on those pages. Advertising only came later.
Hell, there are still plenty of things that people build and maintain because they like it, not because they make money from it. How many people work for free on things like Wikipedia, FOSS, Fediverse, etc. just because they want to see it succeed?

Selfhosting Sunday - What's up?
I have a self-hosted AI system that works pretty well. I can interact with it via my phone, the shell, my IRC server, and I can verbally talk to it.
But I want to get it to remember things, so I need to start working on RAG or something. Eventually I'd like to be able to have it draft emails for me, and schedule appointments.
