‘Pure arrogance’: anger in Finland as Google illegally fells 250,000 trees for datacentre
Could build a lot of guillotines with 250,000 felled trees 🤔

Is there an inbox wrapper I can use for gmail on android?
I know I know just switch to proton or whatever. I have, but sometimes I still get stuff from things I've connected to gmail that i I've forgotten about.
The gmail app on android is very ad heavy.
Just looking to access my gmail from a cleaner app.

Anthropic’s proposed AI safety bill only kicks in if 50 deaths or $1 billion in damages are on the line
They must have hit 50 by now. Or are they looking for 50 in a single events?

If I invented a shirt that caused cameras to be damaged when filmed/photographed, would I be committing a crime by wearing the shirt at events with cameras?
if you invent some passive way to damage tech by just being in its vicinity. not only would it be illegal. it would be a super weapon.

I hate the multi desktop stuff.
Drag a window to top of screen and it doesn't snap full screen fast enough or consistantly.
Doesn't like to display 1 window across 2 screens.
Sometimes a window will shoot off to the side past the visible desktop for god knows what reason.
You can't nativly set up the mouse scroll to work in reverse direction to the touch pad.
I'm still not sure how to uninstall things.
When my headphone cable is plugged in and I turn on the Mac it insists to make the boot sound though the speakers as an advertizment to the world that there is a Mac around.
If I click x on a browser or app, it doesnt actually shut the program, it just minimizes it.
I can't easily see the size of hard drives/folders and how much space is left available.
Files are just scattered willy nilly in a folder instead of snapped to a grid unless I set that folders defaults...per folder?! Instead of across the whole OS
They are my personal top of mind gripes.

The second half of Catfriends response is so...strange. Like there is a code in there somehow. Like when captive soldiers blink morse code to signal theyre in danger on a terrorist video. Thats how it feels to me anyway.

You actually nailed it. Glittering is attractive to all things with eyes because it represents water which is needed for life. Thats why car manufacturers use chrome in specific areas like the logo or a line they want you to notice to attract our lizard brain.

Wearing a helmet and a hat while biking
That pip on the top of a baseball cap is dangerous under a helmet. Its essentially saying, 'hey coordinate all the shock right here' like a little pin hammer. Get yourself a cycling cap for under the helmet. Way more comphy too.
But yeah id go with the hook it to your belt loop. Maybe with a carabiner so you dont stress the snapback
