Until you say yeah. Then she says she great, can you make mine with ketchup on the side.

Thats when love thrives, knowing you found a girl with the audacity.

I'm pretty sure combining ketchup and cheese might get you institutionalized in France

I gotta have ketchup with my grilled cheese

It's weird because if you had said "tomato basil soup" then I would have upvoted you. But you said ketchup so you can rot in hell.

Hmm, but the various tomato sauces are almost always paired with cheeses in italian cooking. Is france really so far behind?

1

Ketchup is more like a tomato jam than a sauce.

But also I'm overstaying things quite a bit.

But there's no ketchup on a cheese board in France, that I can tell you.

3

And here I am saying they're a freak when they don't want me to give 'em that ketchup on the side after I already did mine. Makes me feel like that's gotta give a dry mouth.

I was dating a girl once and we were sitting watching My Hero Academia (one of her favorite shows back in .. ~2011?) and she looks me dead in the eyes and goes: "Do you want to get boneless wings?"

And I'm like: "???? Is that code? It's like 9:20 PM"

She goes: "No, I want wings"

So I look up the closest wings place, 15 minute drive, they close at 10:00.

We get there, order like six different flavors, get back, right back to the anime and she goes:

"Hell yeah, wings".

It turns out she had ADHD and that's just totally normal behavior with that condition

You need ADHD to want wings with your anime?

22

Yeah, ADHD is identified with the BCWT (Boneless Chicken Wing Test)

Wait...do I make double-entendres all the time without knowing it? Am I just going around, doing mating calls on everyone?

5

Yeah I have adhd and occasionally have to interrupt TV with my wife for a beer or food run. She puts up with it because beer.

4

Man don't you think that adhd is just psycho bollocks? What you proved here is nothing more other that your girlfriend was just hungry

2

But, what about the gloriousness of garlic cheese bread?

4

I thought that was just what Americans called a cheese toastie lol

Why do they always frame with as you wanting it when its them beings the one that want it? My mother does the exact same.

6

I figured the thought would be better articulated: "I am gonna make some cheese toast for myself. Do you want some while I'm at it?"

It's a polite "do you want one too?" Rather than saying that they want one

Yeah, but if you say they dont actually end up doing it for themselves

Hunger is the best flavouring, company is the second best.

If you're not actually hungry and not eating together, snacking isn't always worth it.

7

Yeah, often it's a "I could go for [thing], but not enough to get up, but if wife wants it too that'll be enough to get me up"

…what is cheese toast?

It's when you slide your gouda between my two french loaves and get them toasty.

...but why not grill it then....like 1000% better for a tiny bit more work

1

I agree, but at 3am it might be asking a lot. My guess is it's a snack their kid can make themselves.

Personally, I'd probably not have gone to bed yet, so I'd grill it.

2

You reached the end
