But it’s not Ai? You can send animations for any message on iMessage, people just don’t realize you have to hold the send button to open the menu.

Been seeing a lot of posts about replacing Spotify and such, so I wrote up a guide on how I did just that

Should put a note on your blog that Lidarr’s Metadata database is being rebuilt, currently the Lidarr APi spits a bunch of 5xx errors when searching for artists/albums/etc.

https://github.com/Lidarr/Lidarr/issues/5498

If you currently have a library on the stable build the Lidarr team could use some help building the cache, they made this tool:

https://github.com/DeviantEng/lidarr-cache-warmer

It’ll search every artist in your Lidarr library so that the new database has a cache to quickly call upon.

*Permanently Deleted*

For the folks saying install Linux keep in mind you can indirectly be captured by this feature.

For example if you’re playing an online video game you’ll be captured or your chat messages in your messaging app.

Highlight of my Morning

Be me -

Gets the Ok from IT to switch to a Linux Distro for my work desktop.

Gets the Ok from my direct manager.

Gets the Ok from our contracts manager who used to be in my direct managers position before.

Direct manager reaches out to lead developer, who happens to be a windows fanboy, for the web app we use to ensure “compatibility”, gets told to be careful of what I do and our cybersecurity insurance won’t cover it.

Be me, looking around at all the minuscule pieces of hardware connected to the internet likely running some form of Linux or Unix.

ProtonMail Logged IP Address of French Activist; Should You Be Worried About Your Privacy?

Why is this a surprise? IP Logging is pretty normal for any service.

2.5 IP logging: by default, we do not keep permanent IP logs in relation with your Account. However, IP logs may be kept temporarily to combat abuse and fraud, and your IP address may be retained permanently if you are engaged in activities that breach our Terms of Service (e.g. spamming, DDoS attacks against our infrastructure, brute force attacks). The legal basis of this processing is our legitimate interest to protect our service against non-compliant or fraudulent activities. If you enable authentication logging for your Account or voluntarily participate in Proton's advanced security program, the record of your login IP addresses is kept for as long as the feature is enabled. This feature is off by default, and all the records are deleted upon deactivation of the feature. The legal basis of this processing is consent, and you are free to opt in or opt out of that processing at any time in the security panel of your Account. The authentication logs feature records login attempts to your Account and does not track product-specific activity, such as VPN activity.

I swapped the entire school computers to linux mint

I don’t know how developed your school system is but, I would advise the principal into blocking the websites via DNS that way the computers won’t resolve them.

AdGuard, PiHole, OpenSense are free open source DNS resolvers however, chances are your school already manages its own DNS so I would obviously consult with them first.

Valve seems to have quietly rolled out a major upgrade to their Anti-Cheat system and it’s apparently wrecking havoc on cheat providers

Rockstar botched that system, I can attest as I used numerous different mod menus on GTA V Online, most well developed menus will let you alter yours (and others) in-game reputation by spamming the commend/report functions.

Spawning in UFO’s an such was the highlight of GTA V Online for me, haven’t touched the game since I moved to Linux, I hear it’s broken due to the new anti-cheat.

This right bloody here, you have to make sacrifices for peace-of-mind otherwise you’ll live your life paranoid on the smallest of things.

One persons opinions don’t suddenly make a service unusable or unreliable.

As another person had suggested, test with a live image first before installing it to an SSD/HDD, however Linux is very well maintained by the community and even if there aren’t native drivers from your hardwares manufacturer, for example Corsair Keyboard Drivers, there usually is Open Sourced alternatives for these things like CKB-Next.

I say this to everyone, once you get a grasp on BASH (Bourne Again Shell) and package managers & repositories (edit: and the filesystem structure) you’ll essentially be able to use any Linux distro, it just comes down to the nitty gritty of things.
