I hate these donate screens because I have no idea where the donation actually goes and i don't want to have to do a ton of research at the grocery checkout about whether its a good charity.

Yeah but just because they name the charity doesn't mean its a good charity. Some charities just aren't good ones to donate to and you're basically just throwing money down a well when you do donate to them.

This is pretty true. I was talking to my gf abt meta making Instagram threads and she was confused why meta was making a product under the Instagram label before I told her that meta owned Instagram. Tbf to her she hasn't installed Instagram in years so its not like she would see meta branding in their current app or whatever they do.

You're not gonna be downloading the entirety of threads when you interact with them. I don't see how interacting with threads would fill up your storage any faster than interacting with another instance.

Yeah mods were over hated on reddit. Large communities would go to shit without thwm. Sometimes they didn't always make the right decisions but ultimately large subreddits couldn't exist without them.
