Billionaire CEO of Canada’s Shopify demands abolition of right to vote for broad sections of the population

Financial obesity is an existential threat to any society that tolerates it, and needs to cease being celebrated, rewarded, and positioned as an aspirational goal.

Corporations are the only ‘persons’ which should be subjected to capital punishment, but trillionaires should be forced to transition into billionaires, and billionaires should be euthanised through taxation.

As an intellectual discipline, economics is closer to theology than physics, with finance an entirely arbitrary, cherry picked subset of rules to justify a particular economic model.

Economics is the control mechanism that filled the void in society, vacated by religion, after the Enlightenment. Every economic model is functionally equivalent to any flavour of religion, just with a little extra accounting blended in.

We did away with one unhinged narrative construct, things can’t get better until the current dominant fantastical conjuring is dispelled.

US gross national debt tops $40tn for first time

The entire notion that an entity, which holds the exclusive monopoly on the supply of the currency its budget is denominated in, can in any way be considered to be exposed to debt in that currency which can be framed a problematic is, at best, farcical.

That ‘national debt’ is merely the tally of the legitimate quantity of the currency in existence. If it’s too much, they hold the equal monopoly of removing it through taxation, and the easiest and most effective point to do that is where it its concentration has accumulated the most.
