CW: violence - Nazi sympathizer gets beat for singing "Ice Ice baby" to hispanic man and family

Humiliation after humiliation after humiliation.

Taunted, got his ass beaten up infront of his sons, and later on in life, when they grow up and remember this and then understand what it meant, will realize that their dad was a racist who got beaten up for being racist and a video exists and I can bet you, in school, as they grow older someone will be like, check this old video of so and so's dad getting his ass handed to him for being racist.

People who have worked in customer service: Did you ever get hit with a "Do you know who I am!?" Did you in fact know who they were?

Yup, by a semi-high level military dude working at the Pentagon, I kid you not. I got a visit from his boss who apologized and ordered him with an official document that was verbally read to me to not have any contact with me, a 50 bucks gift card and a few months later they transferred him to some random place in Kentucky or Nebraska or something like that. He had been pulling that line all over Pentagon City, Crystal City and Arlington in general and people complained. Had the nicest wife, but he was just a massive asshole. And all this while I was doing him a solid.

I’ve been locked out of PayPal for years because of their mistake

Got locked out of my PayPal account but I apparently can't close it.

A couple of years ago I was running a growing loans business on r/loans and the other one. One day, I got scammed. Loaned someone money and when it came to pay day, they reported me to welch out of the deal.

It took 180 days to get the money I had on my account. I tried closing the account and PayPal would not let me. It's been years and all I get are notices of terms and marketing stuff. I try to unsubscribe and it keeps coming so I mark it as spam but Gmail does not care.

Now that Trump is getting real friendly with Putin where does that leave China?

Devil's advocate opinion.

After spending a fair bit of time in China, I've come to understand one thing. A weaker America is good for China, but, China does not want to lead the world. Sloppy seconds works better from China.

Many years ago, Richard Branson, wrote that in his fight with British Airways, he actually preferred being second. This because nobody is gunning for you. Everyone always guns for gold, but a silver is not a bad thing either but nobody is in the race thinking, golly, I'm going for silver this time.

So, China has no real interest in the liabilities that come with leading the world. It's a headache that does not benefit them. Own the infrastructure, mine the planet, sell plastic crap, that is fine, but rule the world, problems. Everyone turns to you for solutions or is trying to bring you down. Better to just chill.

There should be a 'Political Showerthoughts': so there's a place for such thoughts (Edit: 'Political Showerthoughts' is now live for just that)

Yes. Start one. The biggest benefit of having different subs back over at u/fuckspez dumpsterland was the independence to create whatever you or anyone wanted. We are here because we believed even more different and have the right to choose whatever we want. Since politics and ai are not welcome here, doesn't mean there isn't a crowd for it. Go for it.
