IMO, it's always worth it because you dont know who is reading this: I imagine some young or teenage girls might see this-- imagine how they feel when they read the disparaging comments from the incels. Pretty dejected, I'd think. Then imagine how they feel when they read the model/engineer's reply. It also shows boys what shite behaviour is.

It's never a waste to shut the misogynists down-- it's like investing in your future.

Kevin begs to differ!!

three panel comic from "poorly drawn lines" in which Kevin the Magical Bird is wearing shorts that don't cover his bird ass feathers. 1st panel: Kevin: "Do these shorts looks stupid?" 2nd panel: Grey bird: "I wouldn't say stupid." 3rd panel: Grey bird: "But I would be thinking it."

When everyone can go to art school

In Europe, the Dada (1916) and Surrealist (1920) movements began as a response to WWI. The atrocities committed during the war devastated humanity to the point where artists couldn't (or wouldn't) depict the human form, let alone realism.

Desperate or just business as normal?

If this is true, the end is nigh. What kind of content do they think this will encourage? Bots and low-quality rehashings will flood the place further.

Though I guess they'll get some juicy income from requiring this information:

email addresses, personal details, and tax and bank account information.

Good riddance!

George Harrison's estate denounced the use of the Harrison-written Beatles song "Here Comes the Sun" after the Trump campaign used the song to introduce Ivanka Trump at the 2016 Republican National Convention.

The estate noted that Trump did not have permission to use this song, but that they would consider allowing him to use the Harrison song "Beware of Darkness".

Positive reinforcement works better for helping people quit :(

Especially when quitting smoking tanks a person's dopamine levels. It takes weeks for the body to re-regulate production.

To anyone reading this who has quit/is quitting: congratulations! It's tough, you have shown a force of willpower and should be proud of yourself.

Love, a fellow Canadian.

Edit:

As with other forms of punishment, aversive methods are generally less effective than positive approaches. It is more important to reward and praise desirable behaviors than to react negatively to unwanted ones. Encouraging a person’s ability to enjoy self-affirmation and self-pride will help them internalize healthy attributes and to become a person deserving of admiration...Shame doesn’t motivate prosocial behaviors; it fuels social withdrawal and low self-esteem.

Defense fund established by supporters of suspected CEO killer Luigi Mangione tops $100,000

Referring to the Thompson killing, Frankel added, "You can be up in arms about the healthcare industry, but you can't threaten or actually hurt members of the healthcare industry.

Ironic to use that phrase 🤔

The original usage of ‘up in arms’ was entirely literal. To be ‘in arms’ or ‘at arms’ was to be equipped with weapons and armour.

Modern usage still defines it as preparing for a fight, Frankel.

That was just bizzare.

Can you think of the leader of any other country where that would slide? I mean, not even Boris would have been that crass. Even keeping it within the States, is there a past president who would have?

It really made me think of elderly flashers, who act that way because they have degenerative neurological disorders associated with age.

I didn't know the word cryptid and looked to the root word "crypt", then at the picture of Trump for context clues. I deduced it must mean something like someone half-dead, foot-in-the grave, etc.

But I mused that the root could be cryptic, too 🤔

So I looked it up:

Any creature that may or may not exist. Sightings of various cryptids have been reported, but their reality has not been proved.

Thanks for a new word! Also, Sasquatch exists!!
