I'm getting old

The sequels aren't bad because they're woke (are they woke, though?), they're bad because they're bad.

For example, I think Daisy Ridley played the part very well, and the character fit in the overarching universe. But the plot was awful and predictable.

And somehow Palpatine returned.

EDIT/ADDITION for emphasis: I loved the acting. Especially Finn. I didn't find Kylo Ren to be a believable character, but Adam Driver did a great job regardless. Everyone did a great job with Ep VII, except the writers and Disney execs.

*Permanently Deleted*

If I remember correctly, it was a regular folder with a special icon. The intention was that you could drag&drop it to some removable media to move between computers.

I guess MS envisioned it as a digital replacement for the physical suitcase of documents you'd bring to/from work.

Furthermore, this "digital replacement" strategy can be seen in other (now mostly defunct) MS programs such as that program that was bundled with windows 3.11 ( I think it was called wincard.exe) that mimiced a rolodex.

I'll take my MCSE now, thank you.

EDIT: Seems there was some sync stuff with it as well. I'll settle for some junior certification, thank you.

‘As Long As I Gave It My All’...

I'd prefer the cryptkeeper surgeon who is at least trying, as opposed to the orange ghoul who is there to harvest your organs for some spare change.

The problem lies with the hospital which allowed those to be the only options to begin with.

I for one would prefer to have my appendix removed by a competent surgeon just over 35 y.o., but until hospital staff management gets their shit together, there isn't a whole lot one can do.

Asking a Linux user to recommend a printer

I honestly don't remember my printer brand. And that's a good sign. I bought it years ago, and it now lives under my basement stairs on a static IP via wifi, accepting the on average bimonthly print job that I need from it. Then I walk down, fetch the print, and close the door on it again. I should name it Harry Potter.

Is "female" offensive?

Not really offensive on its own, but it carries a reductive and dehumanizing vibe, depending on how it's used. And the ones who use "female" instead of "woman" are often incels and/or misogynists, giving the term a bad conotation.

Also, Ferengis...
