Alex Jones and his fans are intrigued by Putin offer of sanctuary to conservatives

Reply in thread

Haha, yes. They were home schooling, antivaxxers who sold a fully owned farm in Canada because of "the gays," then hoped a plan to russia with their 8 kids.

Of course, Russia froze all their funds, forced them all to get vaccinated, then refused go process their visas for months, while they had to live in a one bedroom with a broken sink. The husband posted a video talking about how they missed their washing machine.

The wife then posted a video about how she hated Russian bureaucracy, which they pulled down quickly. Suddenly, they are talking about howm much they love Russia, how its great that they can't access their money.

Now, months later they find out that they need to speak fluent Russian to become citizens, and that it can take years after that. They also can't own more than 49% of a farm without being citizens, so they found a russian to own the 51%.

So after all this, they are going to build a house and a barn and raise farm animals, all for some guy they met to actually own, all while not speaking the language and being utterly dependent on strangers.

Man, that fully owned farmed farm in canada where they were utterly independent and had free healthcare sure sounds like shit in comparison.

Family files lawsuit against Panera Bread after college student who drank ‘charged lemonade’ dies

3rd degree groin burns that required grafts.

She initially asked for just 20k to cover her medical bills, and they instead offered like $800.

Also of note, that huge 2.7mil fine the jury found? Just the profits from 2 days of McDonald's coffee sales. The judge reduced it to $650k, but even that likely wasent paid as they settled out of court at that point.

OP finds vulnerability where a forum sends you your password in plaintext over email and everyone misses the forest for the trees

Larian stated on their forum they fixed this behavior and shifted to https 3 years ago. When this was linked several times in thread, people asked OP when this screenshot occured, and OP ignored the questions. Pretty clear that this is a very old screenshot of what is now a non issue.

What's to discuss besides OP trying to stir up drama about issues that were resolved years ago?

Woman says her Kia has been stolen 3 times, even after the security upgrade

Reply in thread

Dont feel bad for them. This is a direct, purposeful choice they made to save a few dollars per car in the US because we are one of the few countries that doesnt require an immobilizer by law. They actually had to change their global design to specifically make their cars much, much more susceptible to theft, and the execs that made the decision did it knowingly and willingly to juice the share price.

None of those execs that have caused tens of thousands of Kia/Hyundai owners intense issues have faced any justice at all. From their perspective, everything worked out great. Until there is some actual, real imapct on the people that made this incredibly damaging and stupid choice, its clear Kia/Hyundai will just do it again given the chance.

When they fire the people responsible and issue a US wide recall that installs the hardware chips for all the effected models, then they can have some mercy. Until then, fuck them because they will fuck you.

The games industry sucks

Alanah is a great creator. She worked for IGN as a reporter for years, then at Funhaus as a host/editor, and finally broke into games writing, which was her goal for a long time. She also hosts an excellent cross discipline gaming podcast with gaming actors/musicians/devs talking about all things gaming.

Shes seen the industry from every angle. Its telling that her conclusion as a whole is "this is fucked."

Tim Walz with the bangers

Reply in thread

Walz has been specifically mocking Tesla's stock plummet these past few months. Hes not saying they are equally important, hes just using this to taunt Musk.

A 1 day 10% drop is a gut punch worth mentioning. Being a meme stock means that the only thing holding it up is the idea that it will always go up. When the meme fades and it has to compete on fundamentals, a car company missing sales targets by 13% in one quarter ain't gonna do it.

You don't have to be in debt, but you do need open credit lines. Having debt on them actually makes your score worse.

Her score likely went down because she closed out a credit line, i.e the open loan, so technically the "i have an open 5yr loan ive been paying on diligently" is no longer part of her score. The fact that she did pay it off is part of that score, but its weighted differently.

If she instead had 40k of credit cards she had open for 5yrs, with zero debt on them, her score would have gone up. Just having the account open, even not using them, shows a high "credit to debt usage" ratio and "a long time open loan." Both of those make up about 45% of your "credit score."

So no, you dont have to use a CC every month to keep a high credit score. If you want a high score, you want to open a credit card or 2 for their max value until you get about 30k-40k of total credit, and then don't use them at all. Not a bit. Never close them. The "long time accounts" + "high amount of debt not in use" + "never delinquent" is roughly 80% of your score. You can sail into the 700s/800s if you dont have any other credit hit.
