Frankly anyone telling you they can measure the value of a line of code without any background knowledge is selling BS.

But I welcome this new BS system as the previous system of managers not so secretly counting total commits and lines added was comically stupid.

True fact, in the early days of Linux I installed it and was like awesome! I am staring at a terminal prompt with color ls output and thinking man this is so cool! That irrational love of computers lead to a career but also a lot of inability to socialize.

I was going to just block the author of this post and move on but your comment so beautifully and clearly expressed everything I was thinking about their asinine lack of self awareness, I had to just at least thank you for taking the time to patiently engage despite knowing full well they refuse to learn.

Likewise. Doing taxes is easier for me than emptying my physical mail inbox. Literally. I only got through 90 percent of my inbox but man I filed early this year after more than 5 hours of forms
